Amazing Laid-Back Snorkeling Day - I would 1000% recommend Paradise Cove to anyone who loves a beach day. It was well organized, ran smoothly, and met all of our needs for a day of snorkeling and beach fun. We did the snorkel package and added a couple chairs and umbrellas long with meals for each person. The kayak rental and paddleboards were a quick trip up to the window if you chose to add those. After we checked in and got our tickets for the day, they went over the basics of snorkeling safety and helpful hints of where to find different things to see. You could tell the safety of the reef was important to them. Entry into the water was either from a shallow beach area or cement steps. We didn't do a guided tour, but those that did were able to have more creatures pointed out to them. If I come back, I will add a tour. Some of the highlights of our snorkeling were many different corals, hundreds of fish, queen conch, anemones, urchins, sea slugs, sea turtles (in shallow grassy areas near shore), lobsters, stingrays, and my favorite, an octopus. The reef was colorful....not bleached out and dying. When we swam back in to shore it was low tide, and there were a ton of tidepools to look explore. At the end of the day, making sure every guest was accounted for and back on the right taxi or bus was priority. They had several checks to make sure everyone got to where they needed to be on time. Paradise Cove was definitely a highlight of my trip.

Great quiet beach and snorklung away from the crowds - Amazing place to visit if you want a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful snorkeling, right off the beach! The staff took great care of my elderly mother, and even moved her into the shade while I was snorkeling. The food offerings included in this package are limited, but the burger was actually very well cooked and the chicken burger was surprisingly good. I lost one of my drink tickets, but the staff said that they had found it so I got to have a very good beer. Very simple place, but just what we needed to get away from the cruise ship crowds (we were told that this is the low season, but there were fewer than 30 people there). I had a wonderful afternoon where I could swim with the turtles and fish as much as I wanted and my mom could enjoy the beach.

Paradise Cove - It is best to be in good health and stamina, the water will wear you out. Make sure what you have selected - to go with or without a guide. Also, no lifeguard is there. It is swim at own risk

Beautiful, clear water full of sea life - Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our short 3 days in the Bahamas. The owner is kind and knowledgeable; the experience is small and intimate. If you can brave it to the further rock with natural reef, it is stunning with larger fish. We saw a turtle and also glimpsed a shark! On shore at low tide, we even saw an octopus. I feel like I barely scratched the surface of what there is to view- I can’t recommend enough! It was a little chilly when we went and the wetsuits were so worth it!

A must-do on Grand Bahama Island! - We had such an amazing time! This is THE thing to do on Grand Bahama Island. If you’re coming in on a cruise ship, be aware that the cruise port is in a commercial area. Aside from a little bit of shopping, there’s really nothing to do there. Paradise Cove is extremely convenient, well-run, and the prices for everything (day pass, equipment rental, food, drinks) are reasonable. We booked the kayaking day pass and also had lunch and drinks while we were there. Saw tons of sea turtles and lots of cool fish. And lunch was great!

Highlight of the trip - This was a highlight of our cruise trip to the Bahamas. We had never been there before and knew we should book something as Freeport is very limited and mostly industrial. We saw this and booked last minute. It was January and the weather was 75 and perfect. The tour bus driver had a sign at the terminal and all was clear about where to sit etc. We drove through some of Grand Bahama Island- this is a place affected by several hurricanes. The island is still recovering. At Paradise cove we were given our snorkel gear and chairs and a quick overview. Once we got in the water we were in another world and so transfixed by the beautiful fish especially around the man made reef. Definitely go to that spot and just enjoy. We did not venture too far out but others in the group did. There was also the chance to rent a canoe but we did not do that. We did not have the lunch package so can’t speak to that. A very beautiful 4 hours that will remain in our hearts forever.
