Michael was very knowledgeable and took the time answer any and all questions. I would definitely recommend this tour.
The tour fit with our wish to hear historically correct information in an easily understood format. It was a delightful walk with lots of history, just what we wanted. It was the best tour we took during our visit to Boston. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The guide was very good. He educated us with a little humor. Made the tour more interesting. I like that he didn't have a microphone. Made me pay more attention. Very rude of guides with mics to talk while next to another tours.
The benefit of having a guide who is true student of history was refreshing.
The tour was very educational and informative. Our guide was personable and was able to present facts in a very engaging way. I would highly recommend!
Guide was excellent. In depth about the sites, great with questions!
Chris was an entertaining and interesting guide! He set a good pace, told great stories, oriented us to historical events and periods effectively, invited and answered our questions well (was non-threatening), and even tailored what he was saying to the nationalities and interests of the group.
The tour started on time. The guide told very interesting stories that corrected "myths" about the Boston Tea Party, Paul Rever's Ride etc. Ge was also quite funny! I highly recommend it.
Our guide, Michael Szkolka, was excellent. the way he told the stories they came to life. our entire family all said they would do this tour again
Michael was an awesome guide. We really liked his evidenced based historical perspective and we learned a lot. From, a family from California, two students and one teacher.
Our Guide, Michael Szkolka was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed his leading of the tour and were pleased with our decision to do this.
Michael Szkolka was my tour guide and he was brilliant. I learnt so much on the trail and he was able to answer all questions.
Great tour with a great tour guide! Michael did an awesome job of telling us real history not just the hokey stories that we've heard growing up about events that have happened. The tours here are done by teachers and historians instead of actors so if you are looking for a small intimate tour setting and willing to walk about a mile then definitely choose this!
The tour guide Michelle was very knowledgeable. A history teacher. Definitely ask for her if you want to take the tour.all the historical facts were really interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour to other tourists. She asked all of our questions and she would ask us some in return. She even engaged our children in the conversation. She seemed very passionate about all the history of the town.we really liked all the places we went on the freedom trail even if it was a walking tour it was at a slow pace. Overall it was a memorable experience.
Our tour guide was awesome!!
The man who led this tour was not only knowledgable, as I would expect from a historian, but also friendly, funny, and very personable. He made history come to life. I envy the students who take their history classes from him! He looked very realistic in his uniform too.
Great tour of many historic Boston sites. Our tour guide was terrific and appreciated the history lesson!
Michael was wonderful, knowledgeable and incredibly patient and accommodating. Rain and all, he was right there answering questions and encouraging more. SO grateful!
Interesting information - guide a history teacher was a great plus
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the American Revolution and was very concerned with getting the true facts in the hands of the group. He was thoughtful, witty, friendly, and insisted that the young people in the crowd learn to question and research what is presented to them as fact. My eleven year old was very impressed with our guide and viewed him more as a teacher than a tour guide. I highly recommend this company.
The tour guide was very informative - I learned a lot about American History!
Tom was an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable guide. Our 15 year old grandson thought his tour was the highlight of our 4 day Boston visit to explore history.
Chris, the tour guide, was excellent with his knowledge and presentation. He certainally made the tour for us.
Great informative tour. Chris was wonderful.
Chris was very engaged and engaging and took the time to answer all questions and shared a lot of good information.
Our tour guide, Michael Szkolka, was engaging, knowledgable & entertaining. With his background as a current Quincy College history professor, as well as his dry sense of humor and quick wit, he captured our attention as he shared story after story of our early forefathers and our country's history. Notably he dispelled several fables we had come to believe as accurate historical events. It was a delightful late morning venture, so much so that my husband & I asked if we might join Michael for a lager at his favorite pub at the end of our tour. That too proved to be quite enjoyable & enlightening.
Great tour with a knowledgable guide. Good history and fact-based stories about colonial Boston.
I always take visitors to Boston on this tour! Great history lesson told in a fun way.
What a great way to match the people and events from our country's history!! Tom guided us through the streets of Boston providing a charm and historical enthusiasm. Lessons on Liberty is more then an actor, it's a historian
Tom D., our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. He engaged the participants, which enhanced our experience. We met another couple on the tour who added to the enjoyment through their knowledge and points of view. We got to know them better after the tour. We left Boston with a new understanding of our history and having made new friends from another part of the world.
historically correct information
Michele was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this guide to anyone traveling in the Boston Area. Very easily followed no matter the age or previous amount of knowledge on the American Revolution.
the tour was education and informative and fun - like i told Michael if I wanted to see an actor and be lost in a large group tour i would have chose the 'other' tour. I rated the trip on Tripadvisor too.
