My friends and I were traveling from out of state and were so excited to do the ghost tour at the Fredericksburg jail. We even booked well in advance for the Sunday night tour. Unfortunately, our guide never showed up. We waited in the cold for about 15 minutes before realizing something was wrong and tried to call the company — only to find the number listed in our confirmation email was disconnected. After some digging, we finally found another number and reached someone who was extremely kind and apologetic. She explained that the guide had called out sick, but she hadn’t been notified. We did receive an immediate refund, which we appreciated, but it was still a huge disappointment after planning the evening around it.
