Our driver / guide Aaron was really great, so were also 2/3 of the wineries we visited. However, the second winery visited (Township 7) was a disappointment as an experience. The local hostess did not introduce the winery / wines at all, but was only quickly pouring us the wines one after another. Especially for group of three, I expect much more interaction.
Wine vendors were great, but the last one (Vista D'Oro) was the best! We left Canada Place 20 mins late waiting for another group to show up (they didn't) on a hot day, and the route taken to the first venue was a bit strange. Driver (Jordan, who was very friendly and personable throughout) was using his phone while driving, it sounded like he was trying to communicate with the venues about our arrival time. It would be safer if drivers had Bluetooth headset and could communicate hands free if needed. Jordan was kind enough to drop us off in Coquitlam as that is where live, so we saved some of the time we had lost due to the late start, so that was very appreciated.
Excellent Tour Guides! The tour was a great value and was well organized. My only frustration was having to organize the event with one Rep, then switched to another Rep, and then a third Rep to complete the booking. Lots of information was lost in between and I had to repeat myself and correct the times and dates of several times. Also irritating to keep receiving automatic emails from the headquarters telling me to meet at Canada Place, when this was not my pick up lication. For simplicity sake, dealing with one person for everything would have been more accurate. Although the customer service was very good and professional.
The tour and explanations were good. Expected a little more time at each stop.
Our tour guide was very charismatic and engaging. The tour ran very smoothly and every location we visited taught us something about the production of wine, the categories of wine as well as the different aspects of wine tasting. My group and I look forward to future tours with Canadian Craft Tours!
All the wineries were amazing and our tour driver was easy to talk to and very personable. We bought wine at 2 of the 3 wineries and were very impressed with the variety of reds and whites. One suggestion I would make is to make sure to tell the customers that if multiple people are booking individually, they need to know that they are going in a group with others, as that created a few problems for us. Andrew and his staff did do everything to make up for the blunder, and that was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this company.
Informative and friendly driver/guide
Great tour on a beautiful sunny day. Our driver Jason, was very professional. We had a fabulous time trying all the delicious wines!
Our guide/driver, James, was very informative and engaging with a great sense of humour. Our host at Domaine de Chaperton was a wealth of information with a very down to earth manner. All the wines there and at Township 7 and Backyard Vineyards were delicious, all the staff very pleasant and instructive, and the lunch served was the perfect way to top it all off. Plus we got to meet some very nice people in our fellow participants. An excellent experience overall. We hope to do another tour in future. Cheers.
I was very happy with everything besides the lunch. It was $38 for my husband and I and we had to share a family style platter with the other people on the tour. It was uncomfortable for me to have to share with 6 other people, I couldn't keep track of how much I could have and when an item was running low I felt like I shouldn't eat the last piece. I did not feel like I got my money's worth of the lunch and it gave me some anxiety having to share with stranger's. Everybody helped themselves to the platters but it wasn't clear if everyone had paid for it.
Our tour guide was great and 2/3 wineries were informative and great to visit. The charcuterie add on was rather small for a lunch offering. Overall we enjoyed ourselves bit would not take this tour again.
First 2 wineries were great, especially Back Yard, but the final one was a bit disappointing
