Can be recommended. - We had a private tour with Norwegian/French Erik who spoke Norwegian with us. We got a good introduction to the company’s history, development and actuality. Erik a knowledgeable, funny and a super guide. We understood that Braastad is constantly in development but that they keep on with the entire production process even now and in the future. Really worth the time and money, can be recommended.

Un-skippable if you stay in the Charente region - The place, the ambience, and the attitude of Eric made the tour something special. We visited all the key part of the facilities and were walked through the whole process while hearing anecdotes and interesting facts about the region and the making of cognac.

Wonderful experience at the distillery - Eric, the Braastad guide, presented an engaging story about the distillery and its products. He patiently answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) and was generous in introducing us to the cognacs at the end of the tour.

Made us fall in love with Cognac… - This was an amazing experience for us, who knew absolutely nothing about cognac. The tour of the buildings and distillery was extremely interesting as was learning about the history of the beautiful building, cognac itself and the family who built this enterprise.
Eric was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions (there were lots!) and shared so much information with us. We were very lucky to have him to ourselves and he was just so friendly and accommodating. Can’t recommend him highly enough - a great guide!

Thank you Eric! - Had a fantastic tour here with Eric. He was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. He showed and explained the process of cognac making and tasting very well. Really enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it to every one. Oh! And the cognac was delicious!!

Great E2E view of cognac process with lovely tasting - Really interesting tour with a good balance of educational and entertainment aspects. Generous tasting at the end. English speaking tour and Eric spoke well. His prior knowledge of other cognac houses also helps elaborate on differences in practice. Great tour as can see process end to end as they distill on site - not the norm on most cognac tours. PS. The cognac tasted good too. My fave was the Braastad Extra and my wife’s was the Tiffon XO. Booked through GetYourGuide but seems cheaper via TripAdvisor.

A very personal tour - We booked a basic tour and we’re very surprised by the detailed and personal approach offered by a very knowledgable gentleman,Eric ( the Demi Viking). My wife and I were escorted over the whole site, which is substantial, in a two hour slot without rushing and were captivated by the history of the company , also Eric’s in-depth stories when we probed further into his own experiences. This gentleman has a wealth of knowledge which was very surprising for his age. But then everything is relative and we are both considered “ seniors” in some parlances.

The tour was very... - The tour was very interesting, Eric was an excellent guide. The museum was probably my favourite part of the tour and of course the tasting was exquisite.
