Prior to our trip, we received clear directions about when and where to meet up, and what to bring. The shuttle driver was friendly and enthusiastic, and showed us exactly where we'd need to take out the boats, and was right there for us when the paddle was done. We saw all kinds of birds and other wildlife along our paddle, and enjoyed finding and using the chutes--a first for us! All in all, a great trip!

I thought the four mile was perfect for my needs , the water level was just adequate but hey its july, in the double kayak my friend and i were able to get get down all the chutes and only had to get out twice due to shallow water. Jim was a great shuttle driver and helped at the put in and gave us a good brief of what to expect . some of the chutes are a challenge to locate but that made it kinda fun. it was great that jim allowed us his phone number so when we got done early we did not have to wait the whole four hours to go home. i would probably do this in the morning in the summer but there was some shade under the bribges. we made it in two hours but didnt really take many breaks but didnt paddle that hard either , just constantly . Take water

We had a great time! Despite the fact that there was a major car accident blocking access to the meeting location, we were able to connect and head out on time. The four-Mike trip was great--lots of birds, some fish and turtles. Be ready for headwinds--you'll get a good workout!
