Great Local Company for Amazing Experiences - We are doing more trips with Black & White. They are a local firm, and know their stuff. We spent the day with Mohammed, and the most incredible safari driver who drove us through Gambia and Senegal and on the safari itself.
Every single thing we could possibly need was done before we thought we needed it! It was great company, we were helped through the customs experience at the border and also had a wonderful meal in a local restaurant.
It was the perfect day, and I'd recommend them so highly.

Exceptional experience - Perfect organization. Pick up from our hotel by Black & White Safari and transfer to Banjul via 4x4 vehicle. River crossing via ferry then drive to the reserve in a real Land-Rover. Visit the reserve with a super ranger: it was a magical moment whose images will remain engraved in our memories. Sadness:) when the round is over. Water and soft drinks available in the Land-Rover, lunch in a typical Gambian restaurant. The icing on the cake , two thoughtful and great L & A escorts. Thank you to the organizer.

Our guide was very knowledgable and efficient, ensuring seamless transportation throughout the day and navigating the border with minimal disruption. I would highly recommend Black & White to anyone looking for a genuine experience while in The Gambia.

Do the lion walk! - We went with them to do the lion walk / safari in Fathala. We did have to wait a long time to get on the ferry in the morning. According to my phone, it was an hour and 45 minutes from the time we arrived to the ferry terminal up until the ferry departed. Otherwise, everything was smooth. There was a truck waiting for us on the other side. There were lots of cold drinks available. The lion walk was fun. I've been on safari before in South Africa, yet I still felt this safari ride was OK. I enjoyed seeing the warthogs. My husband has never done a safari and he was loving it. The guide was able to answer our questions without difficulty.

Fantastic 5 star tour and service. - As a first time visitor to The Gambia we wanted to do a tour that would be a highlight and a lasting memory. Having read the reviews we contacted Armstrong. The service was exceptional and information informative. We decided to arrange a bespoke trip combining two tours! I would highly recommend this to you. We did an overnight to Senegal which included an authentic safari tour, walking with Lions experience and a sunset boat cruise around the mangroves. Our overnight accommodation was of a very high standard and had a pool for relaxation in the afternoon. The highlight of the tour came on the second day when we did the Roots tour. Anyone who is old enough to remember Roots & the Kunte Kinte story will relate immediately. If before your time get researching. The tour looks at the history of Slavery and the story of Kunte Kinte. Not wanting to steal the thunder of the tour I would simply say this is a MUST on any trip to The Gambia. Our guide Lamin was OUTSTANDING, if you are fortunate to tour with Lamin you are in for areal treat. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Take time to discover Lamin’s story and history!! WE ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY AND PROUD TO PROVIDE THIS REVIEW AND REFERENCE!! As a small aside the fact that you take a tour with Black & White directly helps the local community as the company donates 5% of your tour cost to good local causes.

Senegal Safari with Lion walk - Can not rate these guys highly enough. We were looked after by Papa for the full day, he was knowledgeable, considerate and an all round great guy! We travelled across the border to Sengal and spent two hours doing the safari tour and then around an hour with the lions. Spending time with the lions was without doubt one of the greatest experiences of my life. So happy we choose Armstrong and the team and black and white.

A Memorable Trip - We actually booked 3 tours with Armstrong before we got to the Gambia. We choose his company for the good reviews and also that he donates a fraction of the cost paid to local schools and community projects and loved the local level in which he operated.
From the start via email Armstrong was fantastic at coming back to me promptly to all my numerous queries (we counted 41 email at last count). Nothing was too small and he was always so friendly and approachable. He also included free airport transfers due to the number of excursions we booked which was brilliant.
When we met him in Gambia he was just as friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to organise. He and his team truly made the holiday.
The senegal trip with lion walk was fantastic. Sheriff was a great guide and fantastic with our daughter (who struggled in the heat). He made sure we knew what was happening and guided us through the immigration process at the senegal border. The lion walk was done by my husband who loved it, but its worth noting that the lions will be sluggish at this time as its hot and they would not normally be out and about. Also the lions are not drugged which was a major item we needed to clarify. Apart from fathala the actual journey was brilliant and experiencing the ferry was a lot of fun.
We also booked a bird watching tour and a trip to Makasutu and the guides Papa were very intersecting and helpful.
Overall Black and White are a fantastic local business and they should keep doing what they are doing!!
