As a senior with very limited experience in a kayak, my friend (also senior) and I were so appreciative to both Ashby, and also the two girls who were on the trip. We were in no way made to feel like we were holding up the group because of our inexperience. Ashby is so helpful and his knowledge of the area and whatever you picked up and showed him, he was immediately able to recognize what your find was. It was amazing! I will definitely be going on another trip on our next visit. I just have to express to anyone who has never been in a kayak, and doubts their ability to go 3/4 of a mile out, and then another back, who thinks that they are too old to try it, just go for it! Such self satisfaction is so rewarding! Thank yo Ashby for such a wonderful experience. See you again, Marti

Absolutely fantastic! Everyone in our group found many sharks teeth as well as other fossils. Ashby does a great job checking in with each person and helping out as needed. He is energetic and enthusiastic. Thus made the trip even that much more fun and interesting. Getting to have everything you find identified is worth the cost of admission.

Fun family adventure, enjoyed by all. I still gape in awe at the fossil shark teeth we found considering they are 10s of millions of years old. Ashby is very knowledgable and happy to pass on his knowledge and passion. I think he has inspired a couple of young paleontologists to be. The Polychron family

This trip was awesome, guide was very knowledgeable in every fossil there was on beach, and it was my first time in a kayak and he made us feel very comfortable. There was also a ton of teeth and other fossilized animals, Highly recommended!!

Ashby is very knowledgeable and helpful in not only helping you find fossils and shark teeth, but giving you the history and age of each one. From the meeting, travel to boat landing and kayaking to site, he was very safety conscience and hands on. Once back at the landing, he once again reviewed each of our finds and allowed us to video so we would remember. Overall I don't think anything could have been done better. Kudos to Ashby.
