  Heading South to the T&P Station
  Continuing south, the journey passes the Texas and Pacific Railway Station. This Art Deco gem is a reminder of 1931, when the railroad was vital to the city’s economy.
  The Water Gardens: Just a block away, the Fort Worth Water Gardens offer a “cooling oasis” with its architectural wonder of cascading water. Visitors can walk down into the Active Pool, surrounded by the sound of rushing water.
  JFK Memorial: On the return to the center, the JFK Tribute is passed. This marks the location outside the former Hotel Texas where President Kennedy delivered his final public speech on the morning of November 22, 1963.

  The Tarrant County Courthouse: At the end of Main Street stands the pink Texas granite courthouse. Visitors can enter the 1895 Room, a beautifully restored area that reflects the Victorian-era grandeur of the building’s origins.
• Tarrant County Courthouse - The Tarrant County Courthouse was designed by the architectural firm of Frederick C. Gunn and Louis Curtiss and constructed by the Probst Construction Company of Chicago, 1893–1895. It is a pink Texas granite building in Renaissance Revival style, closely resembling the Texas State Capitol except for the clock tower. The cost was $408,840, and citizens considered it such a public extravagance that a new County Commissioners’ Court was elected in 1894.
