Transfer to Kibale National Park

Kibale Forest National Park - Guests will be picked up from either their hotel or the airport upon arrival. A professional English-speaking tour driver-guide will greet them, and the journey will commence, leading to an overnight stay at the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. Upon reaching the accommodation, guests can check in and unwind.

Chimpanzee Trekking

Kibale Forest National Park - After breakfast, guests will head to the rangers’ post for a briefing on the guidelines for chimpanzee trekking. Following this, they will embark on a trek in Kibale Forest National Park. An experienced ranger-guide will accompany them for chimp tracking, where the presence of primates will be awe-inspiring. Once the chimpanzees are located, guests will enjoy an hour in their company. They will return to the lodge for lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Optional (no cost): If interested and time permits, guests may opt for a brief afternoon-evening game drive/safari.

Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Rise early for breakfast and then embark on a morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains, keeping an eye out for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, and possibly lions and leopards. Return to the accommodation for some rest and lunch. Afterward, enjoy a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George and Lake Edward. The trip offers fascinating views of wildlife, including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, as well as a variety of birds along the shores. After the boat trip, guests can choose to return to the lodge to relax or go for a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the Ishasha Section (Southern Queen) to search for tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 40-60%, though they can be elusive, especially when hunting in the grasslands. If spotted in the trees, the view is breathtaking and unforgettable. From Ishasha, the journey continues to the accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park. Upon arrival, guests can check in and relax.

Gorilla Trekking

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, guests will proceed to the rangers’ post for a briefing on trekking guidelines. They will then enter the Bwindi Forest for an unforgettable adventure. The rainforest’s beauty is stunning, with its steeply forested landscape and dense vegetation, crisscrossed by animal trails. The time and terrain vary with the gorillas’ movements. Once a gorilla group is located, guests will spend an hour observing these gentle giants. The experience is truly memorable. Afterward, return to the accommodation, check out, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills and features 29 islands of various shapes and sizes, creating a magical view.

Relaxation

Lake Bunyonyi - After several days of travel and the exertion of gorilla trekking in Bwindi, this day is dedicated to relaxation. All meals will be provided at the accommodation. Should guests wish to engage in activities, they can consult their guide to arrange something of interest (additional costs may apply).

Afternoon Game Drive in Mburo

Lake Mburo National Park - Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departing for Lake Mburo NP. This compact gem is conveniently located near the highway connecting Entebbe/Kampala to Western Uganda’s parks. Although the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks, it is home to numerous bird species and animals such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, and elusive leopards. Upon arrival, guests can check in and rest before embarking on a late afternoon-to-evening game drive to observe the park’s inhabitants. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Walking Safari in Mburo

Uganda Equator - After an early breakfast, guests will enjoy a morning park (bush) walk with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. This guided walk offers close encounters with zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and other antelopes, as well as Cape buffalos. Guests can take the trail to the hilltops for a view of Lake Mburo and beyond, offering a panoramic view of 9 of the 12 lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. Afterward, return to the accommodation for checkout and then travel to Entebbe airport for a flight (1830hrs or later).
