Do this event, you will not be sorry!! - Fantastic!! I could have stayed in the mangroves all day. What a peaceful and tranquil place. Mark was a wonderful guide giving us loads of information on the plant and animals in the groves. We saw so many things!! I learned so much and loved every minute of this tour!! We were a perfect sized group with only 4 canoes total and the canoes are fantastic. First rate equipment.

Excellent tour, Beautiful Scenery - What a hidden gem! What a beautiful day spent exploring the mangrove tunnels. Relaxing, tranquil, and educational. Mark was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the mangrove system and local area. As Florida natives, it’s getting difficult to find places to paddle that aren’t overcrowded. We were the only ones out in the preserve! We saw fish, various birds, and even a mangrove snake! A very special, “real” old Florida experience. Highly recommend!

Incredibly enjoyable private tour - Incredible tour with Mark. Just incredible. Nice easy relaxing pace, but we covered so much and saw so much! Mark is truly someone who enjoys what he does and respects nature greatly, and this kind of appreciation shows in the tour and his education. He took us to true hidden gems, away from all the commotion and traffic of others tours making this tour as private as one could ask for. Thanks for an incredible day!

Excellent tour and guide! - Mark was an excellent tour guide and very informative regarding the mangroves, plant life, and wildlife in the preserve. The kayaks have high-back seats which helped make it a comfortable and relaxing adventure while exploring the tranquil waterways. Overall this was a very peaceful and enjoyable jungle experience.

If you want a fabulous kayaking, adventure go with rivers to ocean kayaking - Went on a 2 hr kayaking trip in the St. Lucie Preserve today with Mark who runs the Rivers to Ocean Kayaking Co. We went through mangrove tunnels, and he pointed out the interesting facts about the 3 types of mangrove trees in this area. Mark also was very knowledge about the birds, the fish and the other wildlife as well as the historical significance of the area. I loved being out there and recommend it highly!

Fun, interesting, educational - Three friends and I went on this tour guided by Mark. In the two days leading up to the tour Mark texted a couple of times to remind us of things to bring and specific directions to the starting site. Once there he gave us a short introduction on the art of kayaking and what we will see. Mark's goal of the tour was to educate us about how mangroves grow and reproduce, why they are important to the aquatic environment and some history of the area. We paddled slowly and stopped many times, holding onto branches while Mark showed us a critter or described how mangroves manage their salty environment. It was fun to navigate low, narrow passageways and emerge into a few areas of open water where we saw great blue herons, ospreys and other birds. Mark is friendly, has a good sense of humor, has a relaxed manner and it was wonderful to see how passionate he is about educating people about the importance of mangroves and taking care of them. This was an excellent tour.

A peaceful respite - Mark was extremely knowledgeable about the mangroves and flora on the kayak tour. He was enthusiastic and passionate about the need to protect this magnificent grove. I was surprised by the peaceful, relaxing environment amid a populated Florida Island. The kayak was comfortable for the two of us who are seniors. I would enthusiastically recommend any of the four tours with Mark,. You will not be disappointed.

2-Hour Fort Pierce Mangrove tour - We were the only ones that day, because it was cold, but we dressed appropriately and it was not bad at all. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable about the mangroves and we learned a lot. The boats were steady, easy to navigate, and overall our 2 hour jaunt was pretty easy. Highly recommend.

Perfect way to spend a morning - We had incredible day out! Visiting our 85 year-old mom in Florida for a long weekend, we booked the 2 hour excursion on a whim just for something different… and so glad we did . Boat seats were comfortable, the water path was beautiful, and Mark, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge of history and the habitat. Absolutely recommend to anyone.
