Would recommend - Price was good. My son caught about 13 fish. I vomited the entire time despite my Dramamine but I believe I would have enjoyed it had I not been sick the entire time. Crew was helpful. Not a ton of people so you could spread out and not feel crowded. Would recommend.

Filefish surprise - We went for an afternoon drift fishing trip on Catch my Drift. Hector and Jesus were the mates. They were professional and courteous! We fished near the PortEverglades buoy. We caught a Filefish as well as other species. we had a great afternoon and look forward to our next trip! We are enjoying a unique dinner of Filefish in a tarragon sauce with Spanish rice.

Wishing for bigger fish! - It's a small fish trip. We didn't realize that if you want to catch something bigger you need to do a sport fish trip. The staff were all great. We did have fun.

Night trip - Deckhand spent most of their time helping frequent guests. Fishing was good in 2 of 3 spots. Spent too much time in locations where fish were not biting.

Read all the negatives - Went on a night trip. Boat left over an hour late. Went out, they handed us a rig and a cup of bait. no variety lots of passengers up and down the sides, all fishing.. I don’t know where all those fish in the pictures were caught but the biggest caught on our run was a small baby shark. A few small reds.. and a few odds and ends. Strange thing is you aren’t allowed to fish off the stern. It’s like a buddy system back there where they do all the good fishing with great gear and bait. NOTHING at All like the customers up and down the sides. They were doing well while everyone else got bored very quickly. I’m not going to complain because it’s well worth the ride and adventure. But they never say a word about what goes on in the stern / rear.. If you are one of the bottom fishers don’t expect much. Anything good is a bonus. Also of note, there are no sanitary concerns. They don’t even give out anything to wipe or wash your hands. BRING WIPES. You are also pretty much on your own because the “Mates.. are always in the back with the “guys”.. might explain why they don’t cancel. I do disagree with my money being used for fuel and expenses knowing that the people in the rear benefit from it the most.

Seasick and Tip-Guilted - My teenager and I were excited for our evening fishing trip. 4 paying customers, so I’m surprised it wasn’t cancelled. Things certainly started off great with a sunset and a great view of the mansions and yachts as we left port. Then we hit open water. And the waves hit us back. Hard. I’ve been on cruises, ferries, and small boats. Driven a few boats myself, so I am not a stranger to the water or waves, but this was next-level rough. My teenager threw up. Then I threw up. Then another person too. The one (paying) customer that touched a fishing pole spent more time holding on to stay upright from the waves. Turns out, there was a small craft advisory that night. So, yeah, we probably shouldn’t have been out there at all. The 4-hour trip was cut in half after the other customers had enough and wanted to go back to port (and of course we agreed). We didn’t fish but were still reminded to tip (mind you there were 8 crew mates who were having a great time fishing on their own). I tipped—out of guilt, not appreciation. Knowing the conditions were that bad, why run the trip? No refund or rain check was offered. A responsible charter should prioritize safety and customer experience over squeezing in one more trip. If the only catch of the day is seasickness, maybe it’s time to rethink your business priorities.
