Wonderful Chocolate Making Tour - Excellent activity. Learned all about the process of chocolate making from seeing the coco tree and tasting the coco fruit to making our own chocolate bar. Most of the process was how they have been doing it for centuries. It was so fascinating. We all loved it!

Chocolate Love - I had a wonderful time learning how chocolate is made as well as the history, behind it. Corneila was amazing. She is a beautiful person and very kind and patient. My family loved the chocolate I brought back home for them.

Brilliant chocolate-making tour. Highly recommend! - We were keen to do a chocolate making experience on St Lucia so we checked out Hotel Chocolat and Fond Doux in person before booking a tour. Despite being Hotel Chocolat fans in the UK, it was an easy decision as the whole atmosphere just felt less commercial and more authentic and we were able to have an exclusive experience as a family of four. Plus it only cost $50 per person, 1/2 price for our 2 children and lasted 2 hours!
First we saw all aspects of cocoa growing and tasted the pulp plus saw every stage of how the beans are treated - learnt so much. Then we went into the lab and were able to grind the beans, watch our ground beans being mixed with sugar and cocoa butter then the fun bit ... we each got to help temper the liquid chocolate on a large metal table before filling our moulds to set. Then we had a lovely break on the verandah before wrapping our chocolate. We all loved it and the chocolate we took away tasted like nothing we'd ever tasted. Brilliant staff and all round experience - thank you!

A taste of the tropics! - Everything about the Fond Doux chocolate tour was a delight. From the welcoming staff at the reception area, Whitney our tour guide, Cornelia the chocolatier, and the historic grounds, the whole experience was what we were hoping for. A bean to bar experience was an important part of our St. Lucia holiday for my granddaughter and I. Fond Doux seemed like it would provide a more local feel, and it absolutely did!
And in the end we went off with delicious chocolate bars!
