Designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1560, it features magnificent ceilings, brilliant architectural details, and exquisitely finished corridors and galleries. Displayed in the Uffizi are artworks by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Giotto, and Caravaggio, to name a few. Most of the great Renaissance artists have their work on display.

Particularly noteworthy are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Da Vinci’s Annunciation, but visitors will also find incredible sculptures and paintings that highlight the significance of the city of Florence during the Renaissance period.
