• Florence - Venture into the stunning backyard of Florence: Tuscany! Known for its picturesque countryside roads, expansive vineyards, medieval villages, and breathtaking viewpoints, it’s the ideal setting for an afternoon of wine tasting! Gather at Piazzale Montelungo, just a short 5-10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Your Tour Leader, easily recognizable in bright orange, will be there to check you in. Settle into the modern and comfortable GT Coach bus, and embark on a journey into the heart of Italian wine paradise. The drive will take about 45 minutes.
• Tuscany - After making new friends during the drive to Tuscany, we will arrive at the first winery. Perched on the hilltops of the Chianti region, the captivating views of the countryside will leave you breathless. A wine producer will welcome our group to explain the winemaking techniques as you tour the winery and cellars. Follow him into the charming tasting room to savor 4-5 glasses of white and red wines, including various Chianti wines. Delight in the flavors of Tuscany such as pecorino cheese, truffle oil, and balsamic vinegar paired with the wine. You will have the option to purchase and/or ship wine home from the winery! The wine tasting will last about an hour.
• Tuscany - The journey to the next winery will take approximately 20 minutes. We will arrive at a gated wine estate: a true hidden treasure in the rolling hills. You will be welcomed by endless vineyards, renaissance statues and architecture, elegant decorations, and even horses and black roosters! After capturing some picture-perfect memories, your wine tour will commence! Discover the family’s generational winemaking secrets, then taste 4-5 award-winning wines. Your tasting will be complemented by fresh salami, cheeses, and bruschetta. You will have the opportunity to purchase wine to ship or take with you. The wine tasting will last about an hour.
• Florence - After the second tasting, it will be time to bid “arrivederci” to Chianti. We will return to Florence around 7:30 pm. The drive will take approximately 45 minutes.
