Long day, but worth it! - This was a fabulous day. Cinque Terre is such a scenic and beautiful area. I wish I had more time to spend there. I highly recommend this tour. If you also want to see Pisa, it’s perfect.

The BEST Tour Guide I've Ever Had! - Our tour guide Mateo was amazing! We met up near the metro and he drove us over to Manarola, we took a boat ride to Vernazza. He booked us a table at a nice restaurant ahead of time where we had lunch and then took a short train ride back to Manarola to continue onto Pisa via car.
The stop in Pisa was a little short, but that is fine as there isn't much to do there anyways besides taking photos.
I can't emphasize enough how good this tour was! Mateo went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We took our 7 year old son and Mateo was so good with him. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of Italy, and gave us a lot of interesting insight into the places we visited.

Day Trip Tour of Cinque Terre and Pisa - My wife and I booked a day trip tour of Cinque Terre and Pisa from Firenze directly with Tuscan Safari. Communication before the tour was thorough with instructions for time and meeting point. On the day of the tour, we met our guide Mario near the main train station. Mario was onsite well before the pickup time and ready for us. Mario was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! We visited 3 of the 5 towns making up Cinque Terre (Manarola, Vernazza and Corniglia) plus stops at other great photo spots. Mario gave commentary for each stop and allowed us plenty of time to see and do. We had a lovely leisurely lunch, which Mario arranged for us at a local restaurant. We then went to Pisa to see the Cathedral and Leaning Tower. We had enough time in Pisa to get some fun photos. Mario then returned us to Firenze in time for our evening dinner reservation. I can highly recommend Tuscan Safari as a guide service. Mario was fantastic! While it is a long day (nearly 12 hours total), it is well worth the effort and time.

Guide did not communicate... - Guide did not communicate well as far as timing was concerned even when asked directly. We ended up being an hour and 15 minutes late for our dinner.

Driver, but definitely not a tour. - Need to understand that this is not a guided tour. You get a driver. For a family of 4 with tall people it was cramped and there were hours of driving. Our driver spoke very little. We paused occasionally at scenic vistas where he rolled down the windows and pointed. He walked us to villages but didn’t have anything to say on the history or local stories. If what you want is a private driver then this is for you. But if you want a tour guide you would be much better off taking trains on your own and meeting a guide there. It’s pretty easy to get around, Everything we learned we just looked up on our own. For 1,000-ish Euro it was a lot, even considering it was 12 hours with about 6 or 7 of those driving.
