Tour with guide is recommended - The guide Tábata was excellent. She has great fluency in English and was very good for our family because she speaks Portuguese as our language. The guide was able to pass the information clearly and gave us great details of the places we visited. I recommend Tábata as a guide.

Getaway in Tuscany - Travel by bus from Florence to visit Pisa (cathedral- you enter, the girls are made to cover the shoulders and back, as in Florence), its leaning tower, baptistry), with very good local guides. And then transfer to see Lucca, very well explained by Monica, who gives a vision as we walk as everything was in the time of the Romans and then with its wall (the only intact). All this guided and helped by Gabriel who accompanied us throughout the trip. Pisa and Lucca must stop in Tuscany.

Highly recommend - Great day trip! Cristian was amazing as our driver and tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel and gave us fun facts and history while we drove, making the drive both entertaining and educational. While in Pisa and Lucca he gave us special recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. He stayed connected with us and adjusted to our schedule. It was awesome! We are a family of 5 with teens and tweens. I highly recommend this tour, and especially, Cristian!

Two major cities in one day - It is an interesting trip very well taken advantage of, as you see two important places in 1 day. It is well organized, with tour guides explaining everything very well. Very comfortable transport. The only catch is that no meal break is organized as such, so you have to decide in which city to use the free time period for it. Several couples ended up looking for a place at the last minute and quite late. It would be nice if they communicated something and recommended a time and place to eat.

Pisa & Lucca Trip 15th July - Details shared in advance did not call out the need for shoulders to be covered for the church in Pisa. All guides were great for the day, Pisa & Lucca.

Long and Confusing Tour with Minimal Highlights - The tour operator is clearly trying to save money by grouping different tourists' needs on the same tour. On our bus, we had both an English speaking group and a Spanish speaking group. Within those subsets, some could choose to do a guided walking tour, others not. Also, some could choose to climb the Pisa tower, others not. The tour guide was a very pleasant woman who was doing her best under less than desirable circumstances, but for most of us, we were often confused with instructions. There was a ton of time spent on the bus. Also, twice the group was allowed to go explore on their own and then meet back up at an appointed time/place, but on one such occassion, a group of three people didn't show back up, and we could not leave until they were found, delaying the day and inconveniencing everyone. We had little to no time to get lunch either, which was awful. Save yourself the trouble and take the train to Pisa on your own, see the tower, and book a separate tour to Lucca, which is much cuter and has more ambiance and things to do.

Disappointing Tour Experience - Disappointing Tour Experience – Fell Far Short of Expectations I’ve taken many tours through Viator, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing. It did not meet my expectations on several key fronts—organization, communication, and overall quality of the experience. 1. Language Issues: This tour was booked in English, but it was conducted in both English and Spanish. As a result, the time spent on translations significantly reduced the amount of information we received. It often felt like Spanish was prioritized over English, which left us with a diluted and rushed explanation of the sights and history. 2. Unengaged Tour Guide: The guide, Frederic, appeared disinterested and lacked enthusiasm. He did not provide clear instructions regarding time allocations or logistics. For example, when we arrived at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we were dropped off without clear guidance on the walking distance to the site, time constraints, or restroom access. There was also no mention in advance that restrooms required tokens or that some facilities only accepted credit cards, which would have been helpful to know. 3. Lack of Preparation and Communication: There was no prior notice that women would need to cover their shoulders to enter the church. This caused unnecessary stress and lost time as I had to queue at a busy bookstore to buy a scarf—ultimately missing the chance to join the tour inside the church. 4. Poor Execution of Activities: The “cake tasting” in Lucca was extremely underwhelming. We were handed a single small piece of cake without any explanation about what it was or its significance to the region. There was no opportunity to learn about local baking traditions or the bakery itself. 5. Missed Opportunities: I asked Frederic if he could share some background about the region during our drive from Florence to Pisa. He did not. Most of his time seemed to be spent chatting with the driver rather than engaging with guests. 6. Inadequate Time Management: No helpful suggestions were provided for lunch, and due to the packed schedule, long lines, and poor time management, we didn’t have a proper opportunity to eat at all. This again reflected a lack of planning and guest consideration. In Summary: This tour felt rushed, disorganized, and lacking in personal engagement or insight. Compared to previous tours I’ve taken, this one stood out for all the wrong reasons. I hope Viator considers this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future travelers.
