Beautiful ride through the country side. - Alex was amazing. He made sure we were comfortable before leaving the garage. His knowledge of the Tuscan region was immense and he happily shared history on the bus ride to and from the garage. The meal in Tuscany was wonderful.

Exciting and fairytale like Vespa Tour of Tuscan Joy - An absolutely fantastic Vespa experience with our excellent guide Chris , making the 5 hour trip fun and historic all along the way ! Beautiful and safe , we explored little Tuscan villages above Florence in the warm sunshine and at a leisurely and picturesque pace 🥰 Lunch was delicious and on the breathtaking lawn of a home in Galileo’s neighbourhood with spectacular views of the mountains and vineyards 😍 A truly memorable ride that was a perfect beginning to our fantastic Tuscano adventure ❤️

You Haven’t Lived Till You Almost Died on a Vespa in Florence - Let’s start with the obvious: yes, you waste a solid chunk of time walking to a bus, then riding said bus up a winding hill wondering if this was really the “Tuscan dream” you signed up for. But once you arrive—oh mama—the chaos begins and it’s glorious. First, the “driving test.” If you’ve never touched a motorcycle in your life? Perfect. They’ll send you straight up a steep hill, ask for a U-turn at the top (lol), and back down with all the grace of a baby giraffe on roller skates. One girl looked so cute in her outfit—until she ate it, ripped her pants, and limped the rest of the day riding in the sad little Fiat. Her man didn’t get to ride either because, well…pride. And then came the main event. A short but spirited man took the side rail like a ramp, flew a heroic 5ft in the air, and landed with a leg-snapping thud that put him into shock. Superman had fallen. We all had to wait for the ambulance, which felt like forever. My husband, a first responder, immediately muttered, “I don’t do traffic,” and casually stepped aside while the chaos unfolded. Iconic. Meanwhile, an older woman who hadn’t even been tested yet was fuming about the lost wine-sipping-in-the-hills time. Honestly, fair. Half the group bailed before we even got going—and no shame there. The route was not beginner-friendly. This was no Vespa 101—it was full throttle, pothole-dodging, no-rules, Italian countryside madness. And it. Was. A. Blast. My husband and I cannot stop talking about it. If you like your Tuscan charm served with a side of danger and drama? Book it. Just… maybe don’t wear white pants.

Fantastic Day - Our Vespa tour was great....one of my favorite things we did on our trip. Chris, the tour guide, was fantastic. We had two Vespa's rented but the scooter was a little big for my wife so we just doubled up on the same scooter....and I think it was better that way! It was a fantastic way to see the Tuscan countryside. WalkAboutTours.com did a fantastic job on this tour and a couple of others we did with them. Highly Recommend!

An awesome rush - Can’t believe I didn’t write a review about this in September 2023! It was the highlight of our Italy trip for me. We were with a group of 7 family members in our 50s and we all had a great time. It helps to have some experience on an e-bike, motorcycle or scooter. If not, take a back seat and just enjoy. The olive trees, the history, the daring dirt roads, such an awesome rush.

Exciting and action packed day on a Vespa seeing the beautiful countryside of Florence - It was fun to ride on the back of the Vespa and my partner really enjoyed driving it. Our tour guides Fabio and the man at the workshop (forgot his name) but he showed us how to ride the vespas were both excellent, best tour guides of the trip so far. So knowledgeable and entertaining and funny, we didn’t get bored once listening to them. One thing to note is if you are tall riding on the back of the Vespa can be a bit tiring on your legs. Another thing is that during winter the roads are slippery and wet and there is mud which can make riding the Vespa a little more dangerous… this is why you need to go slower and more carefully because you may skid and fall off. Other than that it was really fun.

Do not hesitate...TAKE THIS TOUR!! - This Vespa tour was the highlight of our time in Italy!! Chris, our tour guide was top notch!! He was a ton of fun and very knowledgeable! He took great care to ensure that everyone was comfortable with their vespa's and Fiat's. The tour took us throughout the Tuscan countryside providing a wonderful break from the busy city center. The lunch, on their private property, overlooking the beautiful hills above Florence was delicious and beautifully presented. I would like to also give credit to the 'unsung heros' of our time on this tour. Roberto, our bus driver, is a master of maneuvering our bus outside the city. He drove that bus like he was driving a Fiat. Great job Roberto. Next up is Alex. Alex accompanies the tour and moves along the route by ensuring no one gets left behind, and moves to the front to assist in managing local traffic while our group moves along some very narrow roads. These three are outstanding examples of teamwork to ensure a memorable, and SAFE, adventure. We stopped a few places along the route for some history and photo ops. Our tour of 10 had Oregon, Texas, New Jersey, Connecticut and Malaysia represented! We came together quickly and had so much fun sharing in this experience. It was made even more special when we parted ways only to see our Texas friends later in the day at the Christmas Market, and then to see our newfound Malaysian group at dinner! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! A 10 star experience! Thank you to Chris, and the Walkabout tour group, for this memorable, and fun, adventure.

Dangerous, Terrible Description - I am very sad to write this review because I was so looking forward to this trip. But this is a very dangerous activity to do for individuals with little to no vespa experience. They do say “experience recommended” but it should be REQUIRED. Many individuals failed the driver test after just 3 minutes of instruction prior to operating the vehicle up a steep hill and around a turn. Even more passed the test but crashed hard during the tour. People were injured during the test drive AND the tour. This is not safe. Instead of an hour commute to the location to get the vespas, that hour should be spent gradually introducing the controls, doing shorter runs on flat surfaces before the hill, and making sure that attendees are prepared. if the tour company can not make time to do this, it should be REQUIRED to have experience. Only 3/30 of the guests on my tour had experience, and two of them still crashed. Also be warned, there is an actual HIKE (after a 20 minute bus ride) to get to the location where the vespas are even located.
