City game with fun challenges - Great way to get to know the city in a different way. Questions are sometimes a challenge, but you can always ask for help. Easy to use and always possible to take a break, which makes it even more fun to work on it for days.

Nice city walk - We (2E, 1K+1Hund) were only in town for a few hours and didn't want to go blind and so decided to go on this kind of sightseeing tour. For older children (ours is 12) it is super exciting to solve the puzzles and have a story with you. However, is a lot of text and the way is far so definitely not for everyone. There should also be a certain basic interest among the kids. We had already thought about where we wanted to go beforehand, knew that the start and end point was in this area and then actually saw everything we wanted to see on this tour. It is always possible to sit down in a café or restaurant and take a break. The tour can also be divided into several days. You really see a lot and learn interesting things. Especially for day trippers who come by car: Think about where you want to park and how to get there. In this city, traffic is limited in the city centre, who simply enters these zones without a permit, gets a heavy fine (over 100€, camera system, home delivery). Parking prices are also quite different. We have accepted a small footpath and have parked for 1.60€ the hour here : Carpark Binario 16, V.le Filippo Strozzi, 11n, 50129 Firenze FI, Italy

Big Yes - Great story and riddles. It's perfect way for sightseeing, allowed us to visit both tourist main attractions and some "undiscovered" places.

Fun activity - Lots of fun with this activity. Locations could be slightly more accurate and unable to get to one location. A great way to see the city and learn some history.

Medici questo florence - Nice route allowing you to discover Florence while having fun. It's a shame, however, that the geographical indications on how to reach the next stage are really insufficient and prevent the game from running smoothly.

FInd a guided tour instead - I traveled with a friend that was interested in the history of the Medici family, so I thought this app would be the perfect way to explore without being in a tour guide. We both followed all of the instructions for downloading the app and the game prior to arriving in Florence. The app says that once it's downloaded, it can be used offline. This proved to not be the case, since my friend did not have have data on her phone, and could not use the game at all, despite it being downloaded and ready to go before arrival. We wound up just using mine, which kind of defeated the "game" element of it. Several of the locations that we sent to were inaccurate with the GPS and did not put us where the clue was, one clue was rubbed off the plaque that it was on and was not readable, several of the spots where the clues were supposed to be were inaccessible due to either construction and scaffolding. We gave up altogether at probably the halfway point and did not complete the entire experience. I'm sad to say it was a waste of our time and money. I wouldn't use it again.

Not family fun - This turned out to be a bad fit for my family. I have two teenagers who preferred this idea to a traditional city orientation tour with a guide. This sounded like it would be a great alternative, but instead it was just frustrating. The information you unlock along the way was not for beginner level visitors, it assumed you already knew something about the Medici family and their place in the history of Florence. The clues were sometimes very hard with unclear directions. One was even totally covered by new scaffolding. It was too hot and sunny, and we all got cranky trying to figure things out. It might be a good fit for my husband and I to have done alone on a cloudy day in the autumn, but I still wouldn't put this at the top of your list.

To avoid - Heartbreaking. There is 24/7 support (fortunately) and some nice little historical explanation texts. But otherwise the directions are bad, the clues are bad, the game makes us go back and forth in all directions, go around buildings in all directions. Not to mention the errors in the instructions. To avoid.
