• Florence - Maximize your experience in Cinque Terre by meeting your tour guide at Piazzale Montelungo Bus Terminal early in the morning. This terminal is conveniently located just a 5-10 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. Settle into your seat on the comfortable coach bus, relax, and get ready for your journey to the nearby coastline! The drive to Cinque Terre will take approximately two hours. During the trip, your guide will share fascinating insights about the renowned views and villages along the way, as well as what to expect upon reaching Cinque Terre. • Stazione La Spezia Centrale - After about two hours, you will reach La Spezia, the nearest city to Cinque Terre. Here, the bus driver will drop the group off at the train station. Your guide will lead the group through the small train station, and you will board the first train to Manarola. The train journey takes about ten minutes, bringing you to the breathtaking coastal town!
• Manarola - Manarola is a historic fishing village renowned for its vibrant homes and exquisite white wine! Enjoy stunning views of the sparkling blue sea, the impeccably stacked homes, and the lush grapevines in the distance. Your guide will gladly point out the best spots for photos (Manarola is very popular on Instagram, with views that are unmatched!). You will have about an hour of free time to explore this charming town at your leisure.
• Monterosso al Mare - The train ride to Monterosso will take around ten minutes. Upon arrival, your guide will offer plenty of suggestions on how to spend your time in Monterosso. This historic fishing town is best known for its expansive, white sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters. Take time to explore the ancient town and savor some local street food for lunch. Then, find a spot on the pristine coastline to relax under the sun, take a refreshing dip in the sea, and capture some unforgettable photos! You will have ample free time in Monterosso to unwind and enjoy the sea breeze.
• Vernazza - From Monterosso, enjoy a 10-minute boat ride to the nearby town of Vernazza. The boat ride will proceed only if local organizers deem the weather/sea conditions safe, offering you the chance to admire the fishing villages from a different perspective! Witnessing the Cinque Terre hills reflecting on the crystal-clear waters of the Ligurian Sea will be an unforgettable experience! You will have about an hour of free time in this charming waterfront town. Visit the small, picturesque harbor, also known as “the Pearl of Cinque Terre.” If you’re fortunate, you might see local fishermen returning from their morning catch in small blue boats. Relish the iconic views of Vernazza’s emerald waters and colorful homes. Spend time wandering through the ancient streets filled with the aroma of fresh focaccia and pesto. • Riomaggiore - Meet your tour leader at the train station to head to Riomaggiore, where you’ll be greeted by more vibrant homes perched on dramatic cliffs. Enjoy about an hour of free time to explore the beachy alleyways, shop for last-minute artisanal souvenirs, and admire the beautiful views. As you prepare to depart, you’ll witness the sun beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the sea, as small boats return to the port after a day at sea.
• Stazione La Spezia Centrale - Your train back to La Spezia will take less than ten minutes. Follow your guide back to the bus, where you will set off for Florence.
• Florence - Unwind on the comfortable, air-conditioned bus after your amazing day of exploration and beauty. You will return to Florence in the early evening.
