• The Boboli Gardens - At the beginning of the tour, after passing through the courtyard of the Pitti Palace, the guide will lead visitors to the “artichoke” fountain, a large octagonal basin adorned with numerous statues and topped with a bronze lily. Ahead lies the “Amphitheatre,” nestled against the hill behind the palace, marking the initial phase of this stunning garden’s creation, as the guide will explain its design.

As visitors ascend the hill, they will encounter “Neptune’s fountain,” and at the summit, the impressive statue of “Abundance” by Giambologna. The guide will then take them down a steep sloping avenue to the “Viottolone,” a grand avenue lined with cypresses and statuettes, leading to the “Isolotto,” a large pond featuring the remarkable “The Ocean” fountain, crafted by Giambologna.

• The Boboli Gardens - After the guide elaborates on these fountains and sculptures, the final stops include the “Giardino del Cavaliere,” designed by Michelangelo, the “Kaffeehaus,” and the “Buontalenti Grotto,” created by Buontalenti with limestone concrete stalactites, shells, and terracotta reliefs, with water cascading down the walls adding vibrancy and color. The guide will unveil the secrets behind these designs. The tour lasts about an hour, providing ample time to explore the garden’s highlights. • Piazza della Repubblica - From the meeting point, the guide will provide insights into the history of this Renaissance city and how this remarkable cultural movement transformed not only Florence but eventually all of Europe. The walking tour will be conducted from the exterior of each attraction.

The guide will begin at Piazza Della Repubblica, Florence’s main square, marking the city’s center. After a brief history and discussion of the changes in Piazza Repubblica since its inception, visitors will proceed to the magnificent Piazza Della Duomo, a masterpiece by Filippo Brunelleschi, Giotto, Arnolfo, and Francesco Talenti.

• Piazza del Duomo - As visitors pass through Duomo Square, the guide will lead them through the historic buildings and landmarks of Florence to Palazzo Vecchio, where Michelangelo’s David sculpture (the original is in the Galleria dell’Accademia) stands outside as a symbol of the Republic’s resistance against the Medici’s tyranny.
• Ponte Vecchio - Following this, as visitors walk past Palazzo Vecchio, the guide will discuss the Uffizi Gallery, one of the world’s greatest museums, before reaching the renowned old bridge in Florence, “Ponte Vecchio.”
• Pitti Palace - The next stop is Palazzo Pitti, a massive palace and one of Florence’s largest architectural monuments by Filippo Brunelleschi, once home to the Pitti Family and later the Medicis.

• During the Winter Season, the customers will choose the Boboli Garden guided tour at 09.30 am and later join the walking tour at 3.00 pm
