The Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, also known as the “Gallery of the Academy of Florence,” is a renowned art museum located in Florence, Italy. It is famously recognized as the home of Michelangelo’s David. The museum also features other sculptures by Michelangelo and an extensive collection of paintings by Florentine artists, primarily from the 1300-1600 period, spanning from the Trecento to the Late Renaissance.

This gallery is more intimate and specialized compared to the Uffizi, Florence’s main art museum. It is adjacent to the Accademia di Belle Arti, or the academy of fine arts of Florence, but shares no other affiliation with it despite the similar name.
