Fabulous museum! - A great museum, with a wonderful collection of famous Michelangelo sculptures including the David. A favorite of mine were the slave sculptures, they were not completed. Make sure you get a timed ticket before going. It is crowded around the David. It is a small museum compared to the Uffizi.

I cried like a child - The experience has already started very well with the possession of our tickets and we entered the schedule with very little queue and very organized. The museum is all very beautiful, with extraordinary works (very surprised with the museum of music in its interior) but the view of the David of Michelangelo, with that dome illuminating it, is to make any teacher of art cry...and that was what I did...I cried in front of that absolute perfection.

Irina's experience and knowledge made for a wonderful experience - My wife and I recently went to Florence for the first time to visit our daughter during her semester abroad. We spent a day and half with Irina visiting Accademia, Ufizzi, the Duomo, Central Market and local patisseries. Irina was a phenomenal guide. She was very patient and helpful while we planned our itinerary before leaving for the trip. Once there, she met us punctually each morning and was a wealth of knowledge. We especially appreciated the "little things" she would point out that we otherwise would have missed. She was clearly passionate about all the treasures in this beautiful city. There's just so much to see in Florence - having an experienced guide like Irina helped us make the most of our short time there.

Rope drop this place - This place is, unsurprisingly, most famous for David. It's worth getting there early because you can see David when he's not surrounded by hundreds of people. We went at 8:30 and by 10 the museum was crowded. Besides David, the museum has amazing pieces of art by Lippi , Bartolini, and Michelangelo, among others.

An excellent place to visit - To see the real David was the obvious highlight of this visit, but the whole experience was worth the wait in line - a definite must see, when in Florence

It's not just David to see - Florence is the city of museums. This one is one of those to see. Certainly the David is impressive but other statues are very interesting not for their size but for their interest.

Superb visit, memorable - A smaller gallery than the Uffizi Gallery but interesting to see, for its famous sculpture of David by Michelangelo and for the many paintings of the lesser-known Florentine Renaissance artists. One tip: book your pre-paid ticket for the Uffizi Gallery in advance, exchange your reservation for tickets for the Uffizi Gallery AND the Academy Gallery that will be given to you on site. A huge saving of time to save you from queuing.

A museum to do - The gallery of the academy offers some sculptures and paintings almost entirely centered on religious themes. The works proposed are very beautiful, special mention to Michelangelo’s David and the removal of the Sabines, very well highlighted. The David is impressive, and despite the very large number of visitors, you can admire it without problem. To note, a room dedicated to musical instruments that will allow you to breathe between two crucifixions. The tour lasts about 1 hour. We had not taken an audio guide, and the inserts next to the paintings do not offer the information that would allow everyone to fully understand the meaning and themes of the works on display. A visit worth a visit,

Mixed - We visited the gallery during our holidays, the sculptures are beautiful, Michelangelo's David is breathtaking! However from us you do not expect a very large museum! We went around while taking our time in 40 minutes! Buy your tickets online in advance so you don't have to queue

Too bad. - Must-see: Michelangelo's DAVID! But the rest is poorly lit and poorly organized and of relative interest especially if one has done the services before! Tip: book now! Quick entry and go see the David and one or two works and run! Audio commentary well done guides
