Everyone was extremely friendly and informative. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of history with everyone
We loved the tour and our tour guide Tracy was great! He told us lots of interesting facts and stories that made the experience more memorable. We had driven by Applewood for years and always wondered what the house looked like behind the trees! It was worth the wait! We had a very enjoyable day! Thank you Mrs. Mott for having the foresight to know that the public would love to see your beautiful estate!
Our tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and personable. The tour gave us a great insight into the lives and generosity of the Mott’s. We plan to return with other family members.
I had always wanted to see the inside and just recently found out that a tour was available. everything was explained and group was small enough that you could ask questions and get an answer. I really enjoyed it. Was interesting to see how small some of the rooms were considering the money that he had to build such a large place. also enjoyed seeing all the old antiques and furniture.
We toured the house yesterday for the first time. Our guide was the best. We had 9 people, 5 of which were kids between ages of 6 and 10. They were captivated and totally enjoyed the tour. Thanks for making this available to us!!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our guide MaryAnn was fun and knowledgeable.
Guide Mary Ann was GREAT
I’ve lived in the Flint area my entire life, worked at GM, lost my job due to plant closing, went to Mott college for dental hygiene. So, Mott was part of my life and I’m proud of where I’m from. Now moving toTexas to be a Grandma! I had been on the house tour before but my cousin had never been to Applewood so we had a great day visiting, seeing the beautifully maintained gardens, and toured the house. And it’s free! Thanks to The Mott Foundation. Also our tour guides were very knowledgeable and nice, Jerry and his lovely granddaughter Abbey
I have taken friends on this tour numerous times. This is the first time I have been on the tour where all 3 floors were available at one time. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour Tracey gave. He was direct, knowledgable, friendly, and professional. I would definitely five him the 5 stars and I only recall one other tour guide to match his tour. Please encourage to keep him on the volunteer staff. The grounds looked great as well.
Every thing we saw was beautiful with a very interesting tour guide
Great Event, thank you for the experince. Congratulations!
Very nice tour. Guide was knowledgeable and had lots of interesting tidbits and stories to share. Couldn't believe it was all free
I loved it! Our tour was everything i was hoping. Our tour guide was amazing and made us feel comfortable with asking questions. Will come back
Tour guide was very informative!
It is a beautiful historic site. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
We enjoyed the tour through the house and the little facts thrown in by the tour guide. The grounds are beautiful and well worth seeing.
The group size was perfect. The speaker did a great job. The house is wonderful. A great way to spend a couple of hours. thank you!
My husband and I had visited prior, and wanted to bring our children to share in the experience as well, for our youngest son is attending Mott Honors College. Christy was our tour guide and WOW she was fantastic! She not only made the experience fun and informative for my husband and I, but also for our four children, (ages 24-15 years)! She made the experience so enjoyable we could have spent twice as much time with her learning about the C.S. Mott family. Thanks for the opportunity!!!
Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and overall did a spectacular job. He answered questions and gave us quite a bit of history. Very interesting tour.
I felt it was an honor to experience the C S Mott house tour. From the beginning they have done so much to improve the quality of life in Genesee County. As a child I remember attending many summer activities and other programs at Stevenson School sponsored by the Mott Foundation. Education and youth development were always number one. Our guide was informed and made sure we all saw the pictures on her tablet and understood the history of the family. I would recommend this tour to everyone. There are some real jewels in Genesee County. Great job Ruth Rawlings Mott Foundation!
Our guide was so informative....love the history.
Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome.
Beautiful house and grounds. Guides allowed us to stay as long as we wanted in the rooms before moving on and were open to questions. Very enjoyable!
We had enjoyed strolling thru the garden and house tour. We had the reservation of the whole house tour but the tour was reduced to only ground floor. Other than that the visit was a great memory for our relatives from overseas. Thanks.
Our guide, Sue, was very informative, answered questions and did not rush us. I enjoyed seeing the other two floors.
Beautiful estate. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
We had Elena as a guide. Her personal connection to the Mott family made our tour the best we’ve ever had there yet! We loved being able to do all 3 levels on one tour too! As often as we’ve been there we had never heard of the 100 yr old apple tree before! It’s a must see! Needs more marketing/signage for guests. We can’t wait to visit again!
Well organized tour inside home. Loved roaming the gardens and grounds before and after our Applewood visit.
Friendliness and eagerness of staff. Made you feel welcomed and appreciated. I imagine this is how Ruth would have greeted her guests.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. She threw in humor along the way also. Entertaining and educational. Beautiful home, fascinating family.
Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The house and gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed it very much.
Staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable
Very educational and informative. Great tour guide and friendly staff!
I really enjoyed the tour with George.
Wish I could have toured the entire home
Staff very pleasant, felt welcome, knowledgeable. The tour was designed for a general audience; which I understand. Wonder if, from time to time, you could do an expert tour/lecture of how the buildings were built, design details. thanks Brent Knight
