Er-Rich - Stop for lunch at Er-rich, a town renowned for its fossils, rocks, and apple farming. After lunch in Midelt, continue the journey, crossing the Tizi N’ Talghoun pass while enjoying the stunning scenery.
Errachidia - Pause at the beautiful Ziz Valley to take pictures and admire the view of the palm trees.
Merzouga - After a 2-hour drive from Ziz Valley, arrive in Merzouga to start a camel ride (about 40min) and watch the sunset before heading to the camp where a warm welcome with mint tea awaits. Settle into your tent to prepare for dinner, followed by enjoying the campfire and dancing with the locals.
Merzouga Desert Tour & Camel Trek (Night in Luxury Desert Camp)
Merzouga - After breakfast, explore the area by visiting a village of dark-skinned people originally from Mali to enjoy their music and lifestyle.
Then, drive to Miffis Mines to see how they work there before heading behind the dunes into the full desert with enchanting views, where a warm cup of tea with local Bedouins awaits, before returning to the hotel.
After a rest, local guides will teach how to mount and dismount camels and provide other useful camel-related safety tips before exploring the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Overnight in a Berber tent.
Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Boumalne Dades - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate
Merzouga - Wake up early to catch the sunrise, enjoy sandboarding, then have breakfast and take the camels/Jeep back to meet the driver.
Todgha Gorge - Reach the Todra Gorges, one of the most beautiful spots in the High Atlas, 2 hours later. The river’s path has carved out a cliff-sided canyon, popular among climbers for its beauty and steep rock walls. Lunch is at your leisure at this lovely location. A brief stroll through the gorges is highly recommended to fully appreciate the landscape’s magnificence.
Boumalne Dades - Capture beautiful pictures from a panoramic view of the valley.
Roses Valley - Pause for coffee and restroom breaks while enjoying a lovely view of the Rose Valley, the high atlas mountains, and beautiful kasbahs. Following the “One Thousand Kasbahs Road” and the vast Skoura palm grove leads to Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate - Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, check into accommodations. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Atlas Mountain - Marrakech
Ouarzazate - After breakfast, explore Ouarzazate and visit the film studios if desired.
Ait Ben Haddou - Stop at the ksar in Ait Ben Haddou, dating back to the 11th century, to explore the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). This fantastic location has been used to film numerous movies, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara starring Penélope Cruz, etc.
Atlas Mountains - Drive to Marrakech via the famous Tizi’n Tichka route. Enjoy a spectacular view of the high atlas mountains with the opportunity to stop for pictures at an altitude of 2260m.
Marrakech - After lunch, continue the drive to Marrakech, admiring the scenic view of the atlas mountains until reaching Marrakech. Drop off at the main square.
