Ifrane - After enjoying breakfast at the riad, the operator will pick you up to depart from Fes, heading towards Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz Valley. The journey includes a stop in the village of Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and a visit to the cedar forest. Traveling through the captivating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, you will witness the changing landscapes as the desert comes into view near Errachidia. Here, lunch will be served, accompanied by warm Berber hospitality. The journey continues along the lush Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. A refreshing glass of mint tea will be offered upon arrival before checking into Riad Lexpert for an overnight stay, including dinner, bed, and breakfast (DBB).
Merzouga- Gnaoua Village- Rissani Market- Camel Trek and Camp Overnight
Merzouga - Following breakfast at the riad, the day begins with an exploration of the area before embarking on a camel trek and spending the night at a desert camp. The itinerary includes a visit to the Gnawa people, originally from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Nearby, the lake of Merzouga is home to various bird species. A visit to the nomad wire house offers the chance to purchase Berber handicrafts at lower prices than in larger cities. In the afternoon, a camel ride guided by an experienced camel handler will lead you through the golden sands of Merzouga. Dinner will be served in front of the tent at the African Luxury desert camp, which is equipped with flush toilets. (DBB).

Todgha Gorge - Begin the day with a breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. A peaceful camel trek or a 4x4 drive will return you to the village of Merzouga. Along the way, the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes will captivate you as they change with the light throughout the day. The journey continues to Rissani, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the gorge, the drive proceeds through the Dades Valley, showcasing majestic sand castles and the unique rock formations known as “monkey toes.” The route continues through the Rose Valley to Skoura, where an overnight stay in a Kasbah-style hotel awaits.
Skoura- Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou- High Atlas Mountains- Marrakech
Ait Ben Haddou - After breakfast at the riad, the journey to Marrakech begins with a visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This is the largest Kasbah in Morocco, constructed by T-hami El Glaoui, a prominent Berber chieftain in the early 20th century. It served as a stop during his travels from the Sahara to Marrakech. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, “the Hollywood of Africa” has attracted numerous filmmakers due to its stunning landscapes. Visitors may choose to explore the studios, which house props from films like The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ. The journey continues through the impressive Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, concluding at the accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour ends.
