Lovely walking tour for the family - We had a lovely walking tour with Rashid with our young family. He gave us a wonderful insight into the Medina and all the different areas.

Fantastic tour of Fes Medina! - Rashid was an amazing guide to the Fes Medina and really helped us make sure to see all the sights and shops. He helps us find Moroccan slippers for our friends and family as well as bribing us to a delicious restaurant for lunch. Having a Fes native show us around really made a huge difference as we navigated the crowded labyrinth of the Medina.

Medina tour from a native - We booked a tour through our riad, and that’s how we met Rashid! He grew up in the medina of Fes and was able to swiftly navigate the winding streets. We were introduced to libraries, universities, learned the difference between a riad and dar, and were taken to various shops where we learned about the crafts/artisans of Fes.

Unforgettable Day in Fez with Mimoun! - Mimoun Rochdi is a fantastic local guide who knows his stuff. We are so happy we got him to show us around and share with us things we wouldn't have known had we walked around ourselves.

Mimum, tour was by far the best experience in Fez. - Great time great conversation, we highly recommend Mimum’s tour. He spoke wonderful English and his knowledge of the history of Fez was unmatched. We highly recommend this tour.

Fes Medina - We had an excellent tour with Rachid in the medina in Fes. Rachid was very knowledgeable about all aspects of life in the medina and he showed us all the great work that the artisans do in the medina. He shared information on the history of the medina and how it operates today. Thanks for a great day!

Wonderful day tour - We had a wonderful tour with Rachid today. He took us to see the Madersa Bou Inania, the Nejjarine Museum, the Place Seffarine and many other places, including the tanneries, and explained everything in detail. It was a great experience - we couldn’t have done this by ourselves. Thank you, Rachid, it was a fabulous day.

A walk with history. - What a tour. Rashid is a gem. Knowledgeable. A real conversationalist. He's a real history teacher. We both learned so much. The time just flew as we walked around the medina. Discussing carpets with expert craftsmaen nd gorgeous leather..

Extremely Disappointed – No Show and No Communication - We had a deeply disappointing experience with Rachid, a tour guide we found through his website, which we accessed via TripAdvisor. I reached out to him on WhatsApp on July 27th to arrange a half-day tour of the old medina of Fes for the following morning, July 28th at 10:30 AM. We agreed to meet in the Al Batha area, and everything seemed confirmed.
On the day of the tour, my wife, our young son, and I arrived at the meeting point five minutes early, full of excitement for what we hoped would be a meaningful and informative introduction to Fes. Unfortunately, Rachid never showed up.
At 10:31 AM, I made the first call—no answer. I tried again at 10:35 AM—still nothing. I sent a message on WhatsApp at 10:37 AM asking if the tour was still happening. No response. We waited until 10:45 AM under the heat before finally accepting that we had been let down.
Not only did this ruin our day, but it also disrupted our entire itinerary. We were only in Fes for one day and had planned this guided tour as the centerpiece of our visit. Left with no other option, we attempted to explore the medina on our own. While Fes is undoubtedly beautiful, the experience was chaotic and lacked the structure and insights we were hoping for from a professional guide.
I’ve attached screenshots of our communication for transparency.
I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but a complete lack of communication—no notice, no explanation, and no apology—is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this tour guide to anyone looking for a reliable and professional experience in Fes.
