A Fascinating Experience in Fes - Visiting Fes was a truly enriching experience. The city is full of history, culture, and authentic Moroccan charm. Walking through the old medina felt like stepping back in time, with its narrow streets, traditional shops, and lively atmosphere. The architecture is impressive, the food is delicious, and the people are welcoming and friendly. Fes offers a unique and unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover the true spirit of Morocco

Bustling living medina is a must-visit in Fez! - Very interesting tour of this “living medina”. A labyrinth of alleyways and souks, we would not have easily navigated our own way while still seeing all the areas of interest and special monuments. Highlights include the tannery and textile co-operatives, madressa and wood museum.

fantastic & super knowledgeable - Our guide was absolutely fantastic super knowledgeable, friendly, and really tailored the tour to suit what we wanted. He made sure we saw the most important sites and explained the history in a way that was easy to understand and really engaging. We would 100% recommend booking a guide like this Exploring the medina without a guide would’ve been overwhelming you’d easily miss the hidden spots and the fascinating stories behind them. The tour was in English and lasted about 5 hours, including a short break, which was just right for us (we were 2 adults and a teenager). Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Magical moments that I will remember for the rest of my life. - Ali was exceptional! He didn’t just show us the city, he shared his love for its culture and people. He took the time to answer all our questions, always with a smile. This kind of experience marks you. Frankly, if you go to Fes, do it with him. You will never regret!

The oldest library and the two madrasts that found open - I had the opportunity to visit the Medina on Friday 10/04, completely empty.

Fascinating place - A lot is written already, the place is absolutely fascinating, you will see centuries unfold as you get deeper into old Madina ( yes, it's an old Old city). I want to add few of my suggestions: 1. Go in spring or fall . The heat and the smell maybe unbearable in summer. 2. Get a tour guide ! Seriously . It is not like any other madinas I've seen. You will be lost for hours and hours without one, and not in a fun way. Your hotel can arrange for a private or a group tour. 3. It can get mildly claustrophobic. Some of the streets are completely covered , it's like going through tunnels ; tell your guide if you need an alternative route. 4. Go into a restaurant. There is nothing like walking into most fabulous courtyard and restaurant from a dusty, dark street . The food is fantastic, meals are elaborate and not expensive. 5. Appreciate craftsmanship. Most likely you will be taken to a metal shop, carpet store leather tannery ( a must), an oils shop and there will be fast - talking sales men ... Even if you travel a lot and resist buying/carrying "stuff", take a look at the craftsmanship of those goods , it is superb, and you can learn a lot on how to tell the difference between the real deal and cheap crap on the markets . 6. Come prepared. Closed toe shoes , appropriate clothes, and water (!!!) will make a huge difference in your experience.

A beautiful place to visit by day with a guide but be careful not in the evening! - Medina to do absolutely with a guide who will explain its incredible History and show you the renowned craftsmanship of Fez. The guide will guide you and show you places that you would never have discovered alone because the medina is a real maze..a place to do absolutely that lives is felt by its smells, noises and colors. To visit during the day because at night the medina de fez is transformed. It is not at all a place to go out in the evening around 8pm especially if you are two women it drags a lot in the Medina. A lot of men staring. We were dressed in pants and loose sweatshirt, yet we were insulted twice, and a young man allowed himself to touch my breast because I did not want to give him money in the medina. In Meknes, my friend was spat in her face for no reason. That is to say, when young men tell you that the streets are closed in the medina: it is not true, they just want to extract money from you on the pretext that they Guides you through the medina when you didn't ask them to. So in the evening we didn't go out anymore, we just went to the restaurant next to the riad. Too bad these bad experiences have tarnished our beautiful journey.

I wish to take advantage over tourists - Chaos. At all times there is a desire to take advantage over tourists. Many boys quote that the “door is locked” due to the schedule and pray and offer help, but in fact it is a lie and they only want to take advantage.
