Abdul guide of 10 in Fes - Abdul was fantastic. He is a local who grew up in the Medina in Fez and knows every nook and cranny like the back of his hand. It took us through untouristy areas and was a success. We had several things to eat locals very good, plus we visited several local markets. We were in several workshops of local artisans and in the end the typical cargo cooperative where I do not recommend buying. A visit of 10 with Abdul.

the best visit with the best guide - Fantastic tour in Fez
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our Fes tour. We started early in the morning and included a driver so we could go to some of the more remote locations out of town. We visited the palace gates, the ghetto and the synagogue, and the old tower where we learned many things about the history of the city and its people. Then we explored the city on foot for some time, as the guide taught us a lot, took us to lots of interesting sites and winding streets, making it fun for the kids (8 and 10). We have been to many handicraft shops (tanning, weaving, rug, argan oil and pottery) but since Fez is the town with the most attention and authentic craftsmanship we were able to show you the best places and we never felt pressured. We had a lot of time we really enjoyed.

A wonderful way to see Fes! - Such a wonderful tour! The guide, Younes, was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The driver, Said, was also wonderful. Both were polite and very flexible with the schedule. Both guide and driver went above and beyond to make sure we had an opportunity for sightseeing as well as shopping. We had the opportunity to try local street food and they helped us find pastillas and recommended restaurants for later on in our stay. The pace of the day was leisurely and we never felt rushed. A wonderful day in Fes! Definitely do this tour. You won't regret it!

Saw all of Fez in a day! - Our mission was to see all of Fez in a day and we did it! With Adil as our guide we saw all the major sights and also got to live and taste some of the local culture. Adil was attentive, informative, and an all around good guy and great guide.
We weren't keen on being engaged to buy things all day and with a guide we were able to avoid that for the most part. A few of the stops came off as a little salesy but were also informative and educational enough that we didn't mind the "exit through the giftshop" approach as much.
I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting fes, especially if you have limited time or just want to avoid being hassled.

Lovely Day in Fes - Wonderful tour with Hassom Khader
Knows the city very well - navigate thru the alleys of the Médina along with spectacular views overlooking Fes - very attentive to our needs. Explained the details and history of the sites as well as the history and culture of Moroccan people. Never rushed us. Took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch Highly recommend

Nice guide but visits organized around shops - We visited the medina and the surroundings of Fes with a charming guide, speaking French correctly. The day was pleasant if we forget the visits to the carpet merchant, the pottery manufacturer, zeolites and leather clothes...
For us, visiting a city doesn’t mean having to spend our money where we don’t want to!
Next to that, we passed happily in front of a madrasa that could be visited without stopping there, the museum of wood and woodwork ideally...
Fortunately we made the visit alone and could catch up!

Disappointing - The tour was supposed to be 6 hours long. Ours lasted 2.5 hours. The guide initially said that because we were the only ones signed up for the tour we would get a private tour. He said he would customize it. We were happy. It went downhill from there. We had barely exited the hotel when he informed us that he was cutting back 2 hours because we did not want to go to the souk or eat lunch. He would not take us to the tannery because we did not want to shop. I had really wanted to see the tanneries. He did not say too much but did respond to our questions. At Al-Attarine Madrasa he again told us barely anything. Same at Museo Nejjarine and Jardin.
The highlight of the trip was the panoramic view from the hilltop.
We wanted to tip the driver and he said that 20 MAD would be insulting and told us not too. As the tour progressed he just kept cutting back time, until we ended up with 2.5 hours.

Guides will take you to places so you can be ripped off. - Beware of the tour guides. They will take you into all the places that are overpriced and plan on ripping you off. The worst part is, they will pretend to haggle with you. One of the pottery places tried charging me 300€ for a tagine. In the souks they are 10€. It’s a chance for the guides to get tips from the local shops they work with to rip us off. I do not recommend having a guide with you while shopping. They also receive a commission when the shop owner sells you something.
