Merzouga desert tour - We had a really nice trip and a great drive to Merzouga with Said. The Camp was amazing and it had a great atmosphere with evening entertainment. Would really recommend going on this trip.

2-day tour from fes to fes - After comparing various tours, we chose the one that seemed the best for professionalism in the responses, price and quality of reviews. Our expectations were confirmed from the first moment we got in the van with our guide Mohamed: he was excellent in explaining everything to us. Moreover, which is not obvious, he managed to understand the needs of both (even when he noticed that we wanted to go down to take pictures) and to create a family atmosphere. Arriving in the desert we took the camel ride (they seemed in good condition), saw the sunset and then headed to the camp. Here we found excellent hospitality: knowing that it would be cold, we had previously asked for extra blankets and then spent a warm and serene night, after dinner and gathered around the fire under the stars with music. Upon returning from the desert we returned directly to Fez, obviously with breaks for every need and with lunch break (not included), always accompanied by the availability and hospitality of our guide. Important: bring a desert scarf, water, snacks and possibly lunch if you are not willing to buy it on site.

Awesome experience - Awesome experience, but the organization could be improved. We were a group of 9. The evening before the start, the tour operator contacted me to tell that 8 of us will go with one car and 1 with another one. Because I haven't accepted this split, they moved our pickup 30 min earlier. This wouldn't be a problem, but in the morning, we got in the car on time, but the car haven't moved at all for more than 30 min. The luxury tents we have chosen to stay over night, because they supposed to have air condition, didn't have air condition. When you pay 50% more to have air condition and you don't have, you are not so happy about that. In the evening, when we went to the dining tent, we got surprised to find a lot more people that our tent area could accomodate. We found a free table having enough places for all of us, but after we sat down at this table, we"ve been moved by the "hall manager" and split us between other persons at other tables. We just wanted to stay together. After a few more argues they let us stayed at the initial table. Until the end of the dinner no other group of persons have come, so we found no reason to keep that table occupied. Riding the camel in the desert was very nice and it is definitely a different experience than riding a came in the city or village. Watching the sunset over the sand dunes was very beautiful. And doing sandboarding for the first time was a really interesting experience. After we took dinner, we enjoyed staying near the fire and listening the berbers singing. We've been invited to join dancing around the fire. In the morning, we got the chance to drive the quadbikes and watch the sunrise over the sand dunes. We didn't mind to pay extra for this, because it was an awesome experience and I would do it again. All in one, I would book this tour again, but I don't think I would choose the luxury tent again.

Disappointing - Very long bus ride. The stops that were made were at secluded restaurants that are on the expensive side, while we drove through several villages where we could also have stopped. The sleeping place in the desert was good. The guides were friendly. The tour seemed good due to all the positive reviews, but was quite disappointing for us. It felt like a 'tourist trap' rather than a unique experience. Also the stops from the description did not match the places where we actually stopped.
