From Fez to Luxury Camp in Merzouga

Fes - The operator will pick you up from one of four locations: Place Rcif, Bab Boujloud, Place Batha, or the new city near Hotel Barcelo, every day between 7:30 am and 8:00 am. The journey begins promptly at 8:00 am to ensure an early start, allowing time to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and make several stops during the 7-hour drive.

Ifrane - Known as “Little Switzerland,” Ifrane is a city of pristine beauty. The landscape becomes increasingly mountainous as you approach this charming city.

Azrou Cedar Forest - This is the most renowned spot in the city, central to the area’s tourism. The forest is a testament to centuries past and was once home to the famous Gran Cedar Gouraud, the largest ancient cedar in the region. Visitors can explore souvenir and gift shops, as well as market stalls selling peanuts. These stalls cater to the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys residing in the area, with tourists often spending time interacting with them and offering peanuts as treats.

Midelt - Known as the “City of Apples,” Midelt benefits from a temperate climate and the nearby Moulouya River, creating an ideal environment for agriculture. It’s a lovely place to stop for lunch if desired. Please note that lunch and drinks are not included.

Fleuve de Ziz - The Ziz River flows through Errachidia, Erfoud, and Rissani, forming a vast oasis. This region, known as the Tafilelt, is significant in Moroccan history as the 17th-century birthplace of the current ruling dynasty, the Alaouites. Tafilelt is also historically important as the site of Sijilmassa, a city established in the 8th century as a port for the trans-Saharan caravan trade, particularly for gold. Sijilmassa faced numerous attacks and was eventually destroyed in the 14th century.

Erfoud - Known as the “Gate of the Sahara,” this oasis town sits on the edge of the desert.

Merzouga Desert - After a 7-hour drive, you will arrive at the hotel to relax and enjoy tea before embarking on a camel ride or a 4x4 journey to your camp, where you can savor dinner and experience a luxurious camp setting.

From Merzouga to Fez

Merzouga - After breakfast at your camp, you will return to Merzouga and then proceed back to Fez or continue to Marrakech. Please confirm your decision at least 12 hours before the start of your trip.

Fes - If you choose to conclude your journey in Fez, you will have the opportunity to revisit the same stops as at the beginning of your trip. The operator will drop you off at one of the previously mentioned locations in Fez. Please note that lunch is not included.
