Magical tour of Fez. - We loved our tour, we would definitely repeat, I did it with my partner and we both agreed that it was amazing.
Our guide Adil conveyed a lot of confidence, because he had that mixture of being there and knowing how to perform with taking care of us at all times and make our experience as comfortable and incredible as possible.
It is true that a priori it may seem a little expensive comparing it to Commercial Enterprise free tours, but on the contrary, it is very worthwhile, with free tours you always go in a hurry, they are very large groups that you do not hear about anything, they are more informal, for example we booked a free tour with a well-known international company the day before, and it was at 10 in the morning and the meeting point was set, and a few hours before we were changed at 11:00 and elsewhere as a start and when arriving 10 minutes late they had already left. Our guide picked us up at the door of our Riyadh, accompanied us, guided us, and advised us at all times, being able to choose what to see and what not, and being able to choose our pace, in addition to taking us to places that only locals know and do not take you free tours.
So I recommend it 100%, we had a good image of Fez and his people, but with some doubts and distrust for how overwhelming it can be, but thanks to Adil we leave delighted with Fes.
I can say that having travelled halfway around the world, India, Thailand, Albania, many countries in Europe, and many more places, always doing tours, our guide is the best I have seen.
Thank you very much, mate. Sukran Adil.

Disappointing tour of shops when we wanted to see the city - Adil is a very nice man, very polite and knowledgeable about the city. However, we told him we wanted to see the tanneries and the pottery studios before we booked the tour and he promised we would. When we met up, he again promised he would take us to the tanneries and potteries. Instead, he took us to a couple of museums and the tannery, which was fine, but the pressure to buy was really, really frustrating and frankly manipulative. My friend, who is a softie, was thinking about buying a leather jacket but the price was tenfold out of her budget. Both Adil and the sales guy pressured her non-stop to buy it. They promised to customize it to fit her perfectly but I helped her stand her ground. The moment I sat down to rest they pounced on her again and she said she felt forced to buy the very expensive jacket (1 month’s rent)! It was too late when I found out and they were going to deliver the customized jacket that night. When we left I asked again about the pottery but Adil insisted we go to a cactus silk shop for a demo, no pressure to buy, he said, but that it was for a demo. The sales guy there however had a different idea and was non-stop hammering us to buy, buy, buy, buy. Support the artisans, he said. He was in our faces and my friend was still reeling about her forced purchase at the tannery. After that I asked again about the pottery but Adil had different ideas, wanted to take us to the rug shop. We said no. He took us to the smallest street, and then to a bronze shop where we were again pressured non-stop to buy buy buy. It was exhausting and manipulative and a horrible experience. We were both so tired and relieved that we had reservations at the Hammam so the tour had to end. Adil said he would take us to the pottery after the hammam, but at that point, I was tired of him and did not trust him. When we got back to our Riad, they delivered the jacket and it didn’t fit my friend. The stitching was also crooked. It was not a quality jacket like the one she had tried on in the shop. The sales guy stayed and haggled with us for over an hour trying to get her to keep the jacket promising to fix it in various ways, including giving her back a large chunk of money. We wasted so much time with this sales guy from the tannery and he was incredibly manipulative playing mind games with us trying to make us feel bad. The whole experience was exhausting and uncomfortable and pretty much made us hate our time in Fes. We wanted a tour of the city and to see specific things but instead we were taken on a shopping trip. And the prices were not good - everything was very expensive. Truly disappointing. We thought getting a local guide would save us from the trickery we heard of in Morocco but instead we paid for the exact thing we were trying to avoid.
