Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Merzouga Desert (8 HOURS)
Fes - Begin your day with an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fez. Your driver will pick you up promptly at 07:30 AM in winter or 08:00 AM in summer, ensuring ample time to reach Erg Chebbi for the sunset.
Ifrane - Your journey from Fes to Marrakech through the desert starts by crossing the Saiss plains towards the Cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifran and Azrou. Keep an eye out for Barbary apes along the roadside and take a moment for photos.
Midelt - Proceed to Midelt for a lunch break. From there, continue across the Ziz River, passing by countless towering palm trees and fortified Kasbahs on your way to Erfoud.
Merzouga Desert - Arrive in Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where a camel caravan awaits to take you on a ride like a nomad to witness the sunset over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Return to your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before enjoying dinner under the stars, accompanied by local nomads playing drums. Overnight at your Sahara desert camp.
Merzouga Desert – Tinghir – Dades Valley (4 HOURS)
Merzouga - After an early morning camel ride to see the sunrise, meet your guide in Merzouga.
Tinerhir - Today’s drive offers breathtaking views, including the beautiful oasis of Tinghir. Here, you can stroll along the Todgha riverbank, visit Berber villages, and learn about the local lifestyle before exploring the magnificent Todgha Canyons and enjoying lunch.
Boumalne Dades - In the afternoon, travel along the Kasbah road to Dades Valley, where you can visit one of the fortified Kasbahs before reaching your boutique guest house. Dinner and overnight stay in Dades Valley.
El Kelaa M’gouna – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech (7 HOURS)
El Kelaa M’gouna - After breakfast, drive through the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna. Here, you can visit a Rose water cooperative and learn how locals create rose-scented perfumes using distilled rose water.
Ouarzazate - Continue to Ouarzazate, passing the Skoura oasis, renowned for its date palm trees.
Ait Ben Haddou - Next, head to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou for lunch, followed by a visit to this UNESCO World Heritage site. The Kasbah, used as a set for numerous Hollywood films, fashion, and commercial shoots, is well-preserved and consists of several Kasbahs clustered together, appearing as a single unit.
Marrakech - In the afternoon, descend through the Atlas Mountains via Tizi Ntichka Pass, passing various Berber villages with stone and mud houses. Life here seems unchanged for centuries, with most locals being shepherds. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your driver will take you to your riad or hotel. This marks the end of your Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
