Seemed a bit disorganized. One place Joe’s restaurant met our greatest expectations.
The restaurant choices were excellent as was the food they offered, but the two bars were not especially interesting nor were their drink choices. The restaurant owners were extremely personable and provided an entertaining experience. The guide was personable, but he appeared to be not up to par. He answered questions and was pleasant; however, he provided little information about the city, architecture, or historical information. In his defense, the weather was cold and not conducive to stopping and talking about the surroundings. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.
Audrey was awesome. We had never been to Amelia Fernandina Beach she knew everything and everyone. Great food great drinks great time. We will be back
We had a great time and went back to one of the restaurants that was featured. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend.
We enjoyed our tour guide very much as she was very pleasant and informative. A few comments on the restaurants and bars: 1. Enjoyed the Patio Place and learning about making crepes. However, sharing 2 sweet crepes among 4 people was not much food given the fee. 2. As an avid non smoker, disliked going to the Palace and being in a smokey bar. Although the drink was very good, the bartender barely spoke to us and serviced the drinks in a plastic glass which was chipped. 3. Loved Hola - Marisol was very nice and hospitable and shared lots of fun information about Cuban food and coffee. The food she served us was delicious and was generous with portions, including a complimentary beer. We will definitely return. 4. Loved the Alley Cat - Taylor made terrific sangria and was very welcoming. My suggestion would be to asked more information about your customers - such as smoking preference, food allergies, dietary restrictions - prior to assigning the stops.
This rating was given because while I found the afternoon enjoyable but overpriced for the food and drink received.
Our tour guide was great but 3 of the stops were a let down. If you're trying to introduce people to your island I would pick better places or have the places make better drinks. We loved Joe's! The wine and food were perfect. We had been the Hola Cuban Cafe before and we like it, was just we had already been there. The rum punch at palace saloon is simply gross. The Crab Traps punch was good but nothing special to give a tour. Their smoke fish dip was very good. If you're going to ask during the registration if you're taking the tour for a special occasion, you might want to mention that special occasion to your guests. Otherwise why ask. It wasn't a bad time, we enjoyed the history, just expected something a little more.
Overall very nice, but stop at place with crepes, the owner talked much too long, my only criticism
The tour guide was great but some of the venues were not prepared. The picnic basket was by far the best location we visited.
