- Jiefang North Road - Explore the former French and British concessions along Jiefang North Road (Tianjin Financial Street). Discover historical buildings such as the first post office of the Qing Dynasty, clubs, barracks, consulates, foreign firm buildings, police station, parliament buildings, Astor Hotel, Anglican Church, and more. Appreciate the diverse Western architectural styles and learn about the stories from 100 years ago, as well as China’s earliest urban landscape.
- Five Great Avenues - Visit the Xiaobailou (Little White Building) area, once the most prosperous area in Tianjin a century ago. Stop by Keissling, one of China’s four Western restaurants. The Five Great Avenues, a traditional residential area with five east-west streets, was the largest affluent living area in China. Today, it features former residences of historical figures and various buildings, earning the nickname “All Countries Architecture Expo.” The tour will explore this area by car.
- Italian Style Street - Italian Style Town, the heart of the former Italian concession, is now a recreational area for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Sample local street food like Chinese crepes (Tianjin Jianbing) and explore historic sites such as Marcopolo Square, Piazza Dante, the former Italian club, and former residences of historical figures. Lunch will be nearby.
- Ancient Culture Street (Gu Wenhua Jie) - Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street, a traditional shopping street outside the Tianhou Palace, the oldest building in Tianjin, is located at the confluence of three rivers, the birthplace of Tianjin. Witness the city’s evolution and experience local customs. Discover local traditional crafts like Yangliuqing New Year Picture and clay figure Zhang, and try local snacks such as earhole fried rice cake and Shibajie fried dough twists. Enjoy a Tangshan shadow play.
- Ferris wheel, Eye of Tianjin - The Ferris Wheel, also known as the Tianjin Eye, stands at the new confluence of three rivers, at the head of the Haihe River. It is the only Ferris wheel built on a bridge across a river in the world. The tour will stop at a good vantage point for a photo opportunity, without entry.
- Jingyuan - Visit Jingyuan (Jing Garden), one of the former residences of celebrities in Tianjin. It was the residence of the Last Emperor of China, Puyi, who lived there for two years (1929-1931). Learn about the history of that period.
- HePing Lu ShangYeJie - See the Porcelain House, a French-style building adorned with porcelain pieces, vases, and ornaments. Stroll along the traditional pedestrian shopping streets of Heping Road and Binjiang Road, two of the busiest shopping streets in modern Tianjin with a history of about 120 years. Discover time-honored shops like Quanyechang (Tianjin Bazaar) and modern stores lining the streets. Experience the commercial atmosphere and culture of the city.
- Tianjin Haihe Cultural Square - Take a walk along the Haihe River, appreciating the river view and experiencing the local lifestyle. Afterward, return to Tianjin Railway Station to board the train back to Beijing South Railway Station, arriving around 19:40. The driver will return guests to the hotel.
