- Blue Mosque - One of the most famous monuments in both the Turkish and Islamic worlds, the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (also known as the Blue Mosque) is a superb creation in the classical Ottoman style. The mosque has six towering minarets and 260 windows illuminating its vast main chamber, which is decorated with more than 20,000 Iznik tiles.
- Topkapi Palace - The largest and oldest palace in the world, Topkapi is the crown jewel of the Ottoman Empire. With its treasury and exotic buildings overlooking the Golden Horn, your visit to Topkapi promises to be a truly fascinating experience. (closed on Tuesday)
- Hippodrome - The Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, held 100,000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empire. Of these, an Egyptian obelisk and a bronze sculpture of three entwined serpents from Delphi survive.
- Grand Bazaar Jewelers - In operation since the 14th century, the Grand Bazaar is one of the world’s largest covered markets, with 58 streets and over 4,000 shops. The bazaar is specially known for its jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and carpets. (closed on Sunday additional time will be spent at the other locations)

Seeing Istanbul with a new local friend! - We booked 2 days of touring and feel so lucky to have had Ali as our guide. His knowledge of the history of Turkey and the Ottoman Empire as well as Art history surpassed any tour leader we have experienced in our many years of traveling abroad. We easily reached our destinations by tram and ferry and walked the historic sites of Istanbul while he told us more in depth historical information than I believe we would have received from an audio self walk touring. The Blue Mosque, Topkaki Palace and grounds, the Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar as well as very informative Bosphorous River cruise while enjoying beautiful weather. He took us to local eateries and answered our many questions regarding historical figures and Islam. Never rushed and was attentive to our pace for climbing the steep hills of the city. We recommended him to friends already who will be traveling to Istanbul next month! A warm and friendly man so well suited for his job. We feel we made a friend who we hope we will see again!!

Fabulous Istanbul sightseeing. - We came to Istanbul through Turkish Airlines stopover program knowing nothing about the city. Ali, our amazing guide, showed us all of the fabulous sights that Istanbul has to offer while giving us an in-depth educational experience. His knowledge was phenomenal but it was his enthusiasm to share his culture that really impressed us. We had 2 amazing days and HIGHLY recommend him for anyone visiting the city.

Best guide and experience this whole trip - Onur is best guide and experience this whole trip here in Istanbul. Took us everywhere and very knowledgeable about the history of everywhere we went. Got us on the ferry no problems, on and off the tram took us right through to get in places we went to front of line. It’s super hard to get around here without a guide. He I recommend hiring him in advance and let him know what places you would like to visit while out here and he can access all that. Ask for Onur that was our guide you will not regret it.

The best! - We had the absolute pleasure of touring Istanbul with Onur, and in just 8 hours, he helped us experience what would normally take days to see! From the Hagia Sophia to the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and beyond—Onur’s deep knowledge, clear leadership, and expert guidance allowed us to not only see the main icons of the city but to truly connect with its rich history and vibrant culture. His passion made every moment count, and his timing was impeccable—ensuring we made the most of our layover before catching our next flight. Highly recommend Onur if you want to fall in love with Istanbul, even if just for a few hours!

Excellent tour of old town. - The tour was great. We had a great time. Onur, our tour guide was very friendly and had a great knowledge about the history. He was very patient and friendly with the kids. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing two days - My husband, daughter and I had an amazing two days with Onur learning about Istanbul. We saw the must see attractions along with a few we wouldn’t have discovered on our own, cruised the Bosphorus, visited the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar and ate some delicious Turkish food. We experienced so much more with Onur as our guide than we would have on our own. Thank you again Onur for making our visit to Istanbul so much fun.

Private tours the way to capture the essence of Istanbul in a few days. - Through Turkland Travel we had the great good luck to have Onur as our Istanbul private tour guide. He shared his love and experience of this beautiful city with us, its history, its culture ancient and modern and its food. Ever the professional he even designed a tour for us in our free day. A great city and wonderful guided - We have just spent two packed days touring Istanbul with our wonderful guide, Onur. Our first day was a plunge into the sights, tastes and aromas of Istanbul starting with a boat trip on the Bhosporous, moving to a food tasting trip through Kadikoy and finally the glorious and aromatic Spice Markets. Our second day immersed us in the history and culture of Istanbul.
I cannot speak more highly of our guide Onur. Not only for his depth of knowledge of the history and culture but in the way he builds a relationship and personalises the tour to meet the interests of his clients. He was amazingly generous with his time and went out of his way to make sure we had some interesting options to explore on our own on our free day. It has made for a really wonderful trip.

Dream as true - We thought the perfect holiday didn't exist but this one definitely did. Everything went beyond all expectations. The guides were helpful and allowed us to live wonderful experiences, even changing the running programs to put us as comfortable as possible. We have been really lucky and we will be forever grateful to them for the dream they have allowed us to realize.
