Solo Travels - I had a great time at the Luminous tour. The water was perfectly warm and it was a great excursion to experience at night. My tour guides as well took great photos and made sure we all had a great time

Magical is an understatement - This was truly magical and such a bucket list experience. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a little magic in their trip. The guides were wonderful and so much fun and I’m so grateful for the moment they created and captured for us.

A must when in Jamaica - Another couple and us went on this excursion. The ride was about an hour from our Dunn’s River resort. There are around 10 places in the world where you can experience this bioluminescence. The building you wait at for it to get dark enough to go out in the boat is nothing special, and the boats are pretty basic-but, that is not why you go. We had Captain Duke. He was an older gentleman that spoke pretty good English. He took us into the area, just off the dock about 5 minutes away, to get into the dark as best as we could. He stops to explain why this happens and gives a few rules. Note, the water is only 3-4’ deep and the bottom is full of sediment-kinda nasty and no jumping or diving off the boat. Suggestions: -this will take up your night-we left around 6 or 6:30 and returned to the resort around 9-9:30 -take some cash to tip your driver and boat captain -wear water shoes and an old bathing suit because the water is brackish and the sediment at the bottom -ask the captain for a life vest and float on this to keep your feet out of the sediment -someone on the boat will take pictures-ours were not good, so we did not buy them -take a dry bag or other bag to put belongs in while on the boat -bring towels to dry off -I had a waterproof container for my phone to take some pics and videos -consider doing this a couple of days before the end of your trip so your water shoes and bathing suit have time to dry Enjoy this unique experience.

Blue glow - Great experience. Time spent in the water is too short and time spent waiting for the tour to start is longer. People are very sweet and the spot is amazing.

Quick. Nice to see, but overrated. Arrived at the location, everyone was friendly, drank some rum punch. On the boat & in the wa - Ride over and driver were nice. Unfortunately, we wished for more time on boat and in water. Hoping for more music and bonding time on boat.

Disappointing. - The driver wasn’t very friendly. Barely talked at all which was disappointing considering it’s a majority of the tour. The lagoon was really cool… but the boat ride only lasted about 30 minutes.

Nothing to see - We went to see shining water in the end of April 2025. The driver was great. He arrived on time and brought us to the boat embarkation and back. But there was almost no shining water in the lagoon. The boat captain was trying to take many pictures to sell them back. We either came in the wrong time or boat brought us to the wrong place in the lagoon. I don’t recommend this activity. I would not recommend this activity.

Don’t Book! Cancelled at last minute - No show at pickup time. Had to contact customer service in order to reach out to the tour guides who then informed them it was being cancelled.

Canceled 10 mins after scheduled pickup - I was waiting for almost 10 minutes past scheduled pick up time so I contacted the company through the app. I told them where I was outside they messaged me back and said they had canceled it but no one bothered to tell me that before this time.
