• Luminous Lagoon Martha Brae River SUP - Embark on a boat ride through a truly enchanting bay. This is an experience not to be missed! The location is magical, and it is one of only four places in the world where this phenomenon occurs, with this being the brightest due to the consistent climate. This is a sunset boat tour that typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour. The magic unfolds when the fresh water from the Martha Brae River meets the salty ocean water, creating a miraculous sight. The water is rich in phosphorus, which, when disturbed, illuminates brightly. The glow is caused by tiny microorganisms that emit light when touched. It is incredible to watch people in the water as it lights up. If you decide to swim, you will notice your swimsuit and body glowing as you move around after exiting the water.

This locality is enchantingly beautiful. The water here is rich in phosphorus minerals and lights up impressively when disturbed. The radiance is produced by tiny microorganisms that illuminate upon contact. It’s quite a sight to observe explorers swimming in the water at night, bathed in this glow. If you decide to take a swim, once you emerge from the water, your swimwear and body will continue to flicker as you move.

The water is not extensively deep, approximately 3 to 4 feet, and lifevests are provided for those who require them.
