I hoped there would be something more at Okemo. The ride was very nice though.
Nice people . Clean. Imformative
I liked the comfortable seats with tables, and the narration about the sights we passed was informative. One suggestion, though: the announcement about the stop at Okemo should make it clear that the trail down to the lodge is a rather steep dirt trail. The trail wasn't a problem for me because I'm still young, but I saw some older folks start down the hill and then turn back when they realized that going all the way down and back might be a bit too much for them.
We had a wonderful experience and have recommended it to others. Staff was pleasant
Staff was extremely accommodating. Great people.
Very pleasant ride
We enjoyed our fall foliage ride. It was a great day and it was nice to be able to open the window to take photos. It was also good to have a one hour ride, then stop for over an hour in Okemo, and another full hour train ride. Most of the other fall foliage RRs are only 1 our total and many cost more than on the Green Mountain Railroad.
Loved the view, enjoyed learning about to towns along the right a way.
Always enjoyed train rides. Yours is one of the better train rides. Thank you.
The train was advertised as being handicapped accessible, but this was not entirely true. The lift did help get me into the train, however, then the door to the car of the train, was not wide enough to allow my wheelchair to enter. This was disappointing. Thankfully, there were 2 very nice employees who offered to help my wife transfer me into another chair so that my wife and I could still take the trip, which was part of our honeymoon. The advertisement that says that the train is handicapped accessible, should state that the doors of the train do not meet ADA standards and are not wide enough for a wheelchair to go through. We probably would not have gone on the trip if we had known this in advance. Although we did have a nice time, I became uncomfortable on the train ride back from Okemo because I was not able to sit in my wheelchair where I have a special cushion to reduce pressure/friction. People who are wheelchair bound need to know the above info before booking this trip.
More time at Okemo to get coffee or a beer would have been nice. I think one of the train's staff should escort people down to Okemo and point them towards bathrooms, food, etc.. We weren't sure where to go or when exactly to head back up to the train.
A very nice ride, despite the lack of color in the leaves. A train through Vermont is lovely, whatever the circumstances. Ran on time, staff was courteous and friendly.
Our car was very cold and did not heat during entire trip. As day was unusually warm was very surprised and glad we had extra layers
We had a wonderful time on the train. I would recommend this to any one who enjoys trains and the fall foliage.
it was all that we expected and more. the weather helped to make it a 5 star event for us!
Great time, relaxing, friendly beautiful scenery
Awesome ride and the staff in food cart were so nice !!!
The half hour stop at Okemo was a waste of time. There was not enough time to do anything and there was nothing there. We got out, walked for a few minutes and got back to the train and waited for the people who were fifteen minutes late in getting back. Otherwise, the ride was fun and the people were great/
Ride was great. Suggestions: Whoever is on the PA system should be observant of the blasting on the horn while they are speaking, and chose a different time. Okemo was a dud place to stop. Ludlow maybe?
The train ride was great---wish we had been told of the (long for some) walk to the resort.
Friendly accommodating staff! Time for lunch at the restaurant at Okemo Mountain. Great experience!
Great experience, beautiful county, pleasant and considerate employees.
Train ride was a real treat for us. The train moved at a speed which allowed us to take some nice photos. Staff was helpful and courteous. at a speed which allowed us to take some very nice photos. The tables and chairs allowed plenty of space to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
Great trip extremely friendly and courteous staff.
I didn't really care for the stop at Okemo mountain
I was expecting bench seating as I have had in other trains, but not a problem really!
This was my son and my husband's first time riding a train.. they LOVED it! My son asks everyday when are we going back! Thank you for your kindness, amazing service and a fantastic fun time! We will be returning for another experience!
The train left on time. The staff was friendly and well informed. The accomodations on the train were quite adequate for the length of the trip.
Since we were in an air conditioned car we were not allowed to open the windows, making it difficult to take pictures since the windows were cloudy.
the timing of color was wonderful, the staff on the train was friendly and a comfortable ride. thank you
We really enjoyed ourselves on the train ride. Is was a comfortable journey. We would definitely go again.
