The Kelpies are inspired by a Scottish folktale, originally told to keep children away from dangerous waters, and also serve as a tribute to the Clydesdale horses that played a vital role in three key industries in this region.
Standing at 98 feet tall, these statues are a remarkable homage to the “Gentle Giants,” with intricate details best appreciated up close. A visitor center is available for guests to purchase souvenirs and take a break.
- The Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre - Walk the grounds of one of Scotland’s most renowned battles as you delve into the story of Robert The Bruce and his remarkable triumph at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.

- Stirling Castle - Stirling Castle is regarded by many historians as the most significant and historically important castle in Scotland. This visit allows guests to explore the castle and its magnificent palace. The castle’s stories predate its existence, having changed hands eight times between the Scots and the English over 400+ years of battles for Scottish independence.
A complimentary guided tour is included with admission, and when possible, the guide will accompany guests inside the castle, depending on parking availability. Regardless, guests will have approximately 90 minutes to explore the castle.
- Kilmahog Woollen Mill - Kilmahog is home to three of Scotland’s most famous Highland Cows, affectionately known as Hairy Coos by the locals. Guests are invited to feed the cows, and the more adventurous may even go for a “wee kiss.” A visitor shop offers a variety of Scottish souvenirs, and restrooms are available if needed.
- The Lade Inn - The Lade Inn is a charming country pub nestled in the heart of the Scottish countryside. This is where we will stop for lunch to savor traditional Scottish cuisine and perhaps enjoy some locally crafted ales.
- Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park - After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park as we gradually return to our pick-up location. Please note that there is no planned stop at Loch Lomond.
