Discovering the Magic of the Kelpies

Our journey began with a visit to the awe-inspiring Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world, located in The Helix park near Falkirk. Next, we ventured to the picturesque village of Luss, nestled on the western shore of Loch Lomond. Our journey continued through the Trossachs National Forest, where we stopped several times to capture the dramatic landscapes and meet the famous Highland cows, affectionately known as “Hairy Coos.” These gentle giants were a hit with the kids, providing a delightful cultural experience. Phil’s flexibility and willingness to accommodate our interests led to unexpected adventures, including a visit to Stirling Castle. This detour was a highlight of our trip, offering a glimpse into Scotland’s storied past. The combination of stunning scenery, rich history, and engaging activities made this tour a perfect blend of education and entertainment for our family.
