As you sail, admire the mountains of El Yunque National Forest and Fajardo’s coastline of beaches, an upscale yacht harbor and a nature preserve. Sip a piña colada, rum punch, soda, juice or iced tea from the bar on board.
- Cayo Icacos - After an hour on the Caribbean Sea, anchor at Cayo Icacos, part of La Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. (Depending on conditions, the captain may take you to Palominitos, another pristine island.) Slip on snorkel gear to explore the reef, swim, or beachcomb in this quiet paradise. Snorkel masks, fins, and floating belts are available on board.
Around midday, enjoy a lunch buffet on the boat. Build your own sandwich with freshly baked bread, sliced meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Sides include gourmet pasta salad, chicken salad, coleslaw, bean salad, chips, cookies, and fresh fruit.
After lunch, head to a nearby reef for more snorkeling. Spot rays, octopuses, colorful fish, and various corals. If you prefer to stay dry, watch the underwater landscapes through glass windows or try the boat’s water slide.
Then take a relaxing sail back and arrive midafternoon at the Puerto del Rey marina, where your hotel transport awaits (if option selected).

HIGHLY Recommended PR adventure! Soooooo much fun!! - Our tour was a fun, beautiful adventure visiting the one of a kind Icacos island. Super easy check-in and boarding experience and even easier ride to the island! We had the power cat and it was really awesome! The vessel was clean, fast and open! Once we got to the island is when the real fun began! The tour staff was friendly, hospitable and made the day unforgettable. We didn’t spend one moment hungry or thirsty! During the snorkeling we had the chance to swim with a dolphin, which was truly a once in a lifetime moment. We would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Nuyoricans Go Snorkeling - We had a wonderful time on the excursion with an added plus of a beautiful day. The Captain, Carlos, and the entire crew, especially Coral and Christian, were great, very helpful and attended to us and everyone else during the trip. Lunch was very nice with plenty of refreshments, beer and drinks. The additional fun was meeting up with dolphins while we were snorkeling! Overall I would book this trip again and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Rico, friends and family. Best, Pedro

Do it! - The crew was so much fun! Bring something with you to collect shells! Would have been nice to have non-alcoholic beers but at least they had NA pina coladas.

OUTSTANDING crew!! - We were a group of 6 adults and 2 teens on the trip to Icacos and we all can't stop talking about how amazing the day was! The communication from the company was excellent and the process to check in and board the boat was super organized. Captain Jose and crew were so welcoming and professional and treated everyone like family. From the delicious lunch and always flowing drinks to the beautiful destination, we enjoyed everything from start to finish. This truly was a highlight of our trip to PR. We all said we will definitely come on another excursion with your company on our next trip to PR!

Would travel with this crew again - This was such a fun day trip with Captain José and his crew! East Island Excursions was very organized from start to finish, and it was easy to call them up and arrange transportation between San Juan and Fajardo after booking the trip. The crew provided a good lunch and a steady flow of beverages, and an excellent playlist. It was really relaxing to hang out on the boat, in the water, and on the beach at Icacos. My 12-year old loved this boat trip. (Side note of advice: bring some cash for the crew's tip jar, they are fantastic.)

Amazing experience - Amazing experience with a large group of friends/co-workers. The crew was amazing. The service was great- with the crew constantly asking what we wanted to drink. The lunch provided with the starfish package was also amazing. I would 100% book this for a large group of friends again. Our crew was captain albertico, Cindy, and David. I would recommend requesting this crew if you book!

Let down - I have used East Island for 15 years. I used them when the office was in a trailer not in a nice marina. I have an Airbnb on the island and send my gusts to them. I have always had a great experience, until now. I had some friends that wanted to do an excursion, so I booked the icacos tour. The crew did not interact, they were blah. The captain said not one word to us. I can remember the names of our first crew with East Island because it was a memorable, great crew! (Angel and Noel) It was very much a let down this time. I think it’s time to start to explore other companies.

Sadly, not the paradise we expected - Unfortunately, this was our least favorite excursion of the week. The length of the trip was too long considering what was available to do. The crew member that "led" the snorkeling trip didn't wait for everyone to gather or provide any instructions. There was a considerable rush to swim out to the reef, which given that the boat was docked for over 4 hours, didn't make sense. We ended up not snorkeling because I didn't feel safe without a guide looking out for the group. In reality, there could have been a small snorkeling expedition twice or more during the time the boat was docked. Also, the seaweed in the water has some sort of barnacles or creatures that leave behind a bite mark. It would have been helpful if the crew had alerted the passengers to this ahead of time. We could have tried to avoid the seaweed or waited until the tides changed a bit. The kids didn't want to go back in the water because of the bites.
