• Kayak Village - Discover the magic of our Night Kayaking Tour in the Bioluminescent Bay. The pickup for the 8:00 pm tour is scheduled at 6:00 pm from the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan, or at 6:15 pm from the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel. These times are set to ensure a timely arrival for check-in, orientation, and preparation.

Upon reaching Kayak Village, the team will greet you, provide safety equipment, and conduct a brief orientation on paddling and safe participation.

The adventure begins with a serene paddle through the mangrove channel, where you will learn about the local ecosystem. As you enter the bay, witness the natural glow created by bioluminescent organisms with each paddle stroke. Our guides will lead you to the most illuminated areas to fully appreciate this natural wonder.

Throughout the tour, you will learn about the science behind bioluminescence and the importance of preserving this environment. On the return journey through the mangroves, our staff will assist you in disembarking and ensure a smooth conclusion to your adventure.

We will then transport you back to your original pickup location. We look forward to welcoming you.

Add some thrill to your vacation with our night kayaking tour in the Bio Bay of Laguna Grande Reserve in Fajardo. The Bio Bay is home to tiny organisms known as dinoflagellates, which create a glowing effect when disturbed by our paddles.

What should you wear?
Be ready to get wet from the waist down. Lightweight, synthetic clothing or a swimsuit is ideal. For safety, avoid walking barefoot on the beach.

What to bring?
Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and mosquito repellent (just in case!). Cameras are welcome, but only if they are in a waterproof bag or case.

What not to bring or wear?
Avoid jeans or sweats. Leave any valuables you don’t want to get wet, lost, or damaged at home.

Storage available?
Yes, but remember that anything you bring on the water might get wet, damaged, or lost.
