Definately recommend! - What an amazing experience! The guides were so knowledgeable and sweet. They were very entertaining and helped us navigate in darkness to our destination to see the bioluminescent creatures. They give you a snack and water after you finish and they also provide you with a group photo that they upload on their Facebook. Emily and AJ were so kind and helpful!

Wow que cool - Super a spectacular experience, you do not need to know how to swim or how to use kayaking. I confess that I was a little nervous, but when I got there it was taken away. We were given the instructions and demonstration of how to kayak and water.

Bioluminescent kayaking in Laguna Bay - We went on the 6-8pm tour, which allowed us to see mangroves and the winding path of the canal as we kayaked into the bay. Upon entering the bay, we saw the sunset over El Yunque on one side and a lighthouse on the other. Our guides were patient, gracious, and informative. After free exploration time in the bay, we gathered to learn more about the ecosystem. Our guide did a great job explaining the biochemical reaction in the dinoflagellate organisms that give rise to its bioluminescence. We were given a tarp to cover two kayaks to further enhance the darkening effect, then we were given some time to splash the water to see the glow-in-the-dark effect. It was really cool to see! After emerging from the tarp, I was shocked to see how bright the stars were! As we kayaked back, our guides pointed out various star constellations while helping us navigate through the canal in darkness. I was so impressed when our guide Emily pointed out an iguana on a tree limb in the dark! We saw fireflies too, so we got to see the light in the water from the bioluminescent dinoflagellates, light in the skies from the stars, and light in the bodies of the fireflies. It felt so magical! 🤩🤩🤩 Our guide also explained why the bay’s water is 40% saltier than ocean water due to the multiple mangrove species living there. I emerged from this experience with such a deep appreciation for Mother Nature and for the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I mentioned to the guide that fireflies were sacred to me as they symbolized my brother who’s now in angel spirit form. As we pulled into the shore, she offered me the opportunity to hold a firefly! I’ve never seen one up close and it was so cool to see it in my hand and crawling up my arm. My joyful oohs and ahhs drew the attention of a young boy and we shared a moment of awe and wonder as I passed the firefly on to him. What an unforgettable experience! Also, I had to cancel one ticket in my group, and the customer service representative was so patient and thorough in explaining to me the refund process when I didn’t quite understand it. I am so impressed with the administrative staff and with the guides in the water with us. I can’t wait to come back! I cried with tears of joy and love from the entire experience. I highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience with friendly and knowledgeable guides! - The overall experiences was A+! Friendliest guides who knew and shared their knowledge of the Bio Bay. They explained about what makes the bay unique, what causes the bioluminescence, and even caught us some Jellies to hold! One of the guides (Emily) even learned my name, despite being one of many participants! On arrival back to the launch zone, snacks were provided. Definitely an experienced valued well above the costs involved with a tour.

Night of glow--worth every penny! - Loved seeing the dynoflagellates glow at night ! My kids thought they were seeing true fairy dust. This was certainly the highlight of our week-long trip. I loved how we put a tarp over our heads in the middle of the bay to block out the moonlight and REALLY get a good view. I was paddling with my 2 kids, and the guide, Joe, was so helpful when he saw us struggling and hooked a rope to our kayak and helped pull us along. Caring staff. Amazing natural phenomenon. Totally worth every penny!

Absolutely AMAZING! - This was absolutely incredible! We had a perfect night, weather wise. Our guides were phenomenal. Emily is very knowledgeable and hilarious! My 11 y/o daughter got a little scared after running into a tree so Joe towed her the whole way. These guides also knew how to direct everyone safely. I’m not a kayaker at all, and I felt confident by the end of this because of how well this was organized. I can’t imagine having to guide a group like this, but these people made it look effortless on their parts! They checked on everyone throughout the entire trip and it felt like they all were genuinely happy to help. You will absolutely get wet so be prepared. Don’t bother bringing your phone because you won’t be able to take pics of the bioluminescence. (The bioluminescence just doesn’t photograph.) The bioluminescence is beautiful and I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m not exaggerating when I say this truly was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had!

BioBay Family Trip - Pretty cool experience! Family and friends enjoyed it. Only slight issues were no response via trip advisor when I asked questions and the location via trip advisor did not take us to the right place, but the guy called and got us to the right place. Also bring insect repellent!

You can’t see the... - You can’t see the luminescence when there’s a moon out. We did not see what we were promised. This was a waste of money.
