Fayoum Oasis - Day 1 - Hurghada to Cairo to Fayoum

Guests will be collected from their hotel in Hurghada at 3:00 am and transported to Cairo in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, heading towards El Fayoum Oasis in the Western Desert.

Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan) - Begin the desert journey with a 4x4 Jeep from Tunis village near Qarun Lake, embarking on a desert trip to Wadi El Hitan.

Known as ‘Wadi Al Hitan,’ this site is a protected area and a natural heritage site, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 2005. WADI EL-HITAN, also referred to by scientists as the Zeuglodon Valley, was discovered in 1936. It is situated 35 km west of Wadi El-Ryan, deep in the western desert. This fossil-rich area is considered an open museum, dating back 45 million years, and contains petrified skeletons of primitive whales, shark teeth, shells, and mangrove roots preserved in soft rocks. Visitors will find petrified sea shells and corals throughout the area.

Fayoum Oasis - Visit the Fossil & Climate Change Museum, which features a variety of whale fossils and skeletons displayed outdoors. The museum also showcases a range of fossils, skeletons, fossilized mangroves, and ancient sea shells indoors in glass cases.

Enjoy lunch, watch the sunset over the desert, then savor a BBQ dinner while stargazing like in Arabian Nights.

Day 2 - Fayoum to Cairo

Pyramids of El Fayoum - Day 2 - Fayoum to Cairo

Start the day with a traditional Egyptian breakfast, followed by a sand dunes trip and a visit to Qusur El Arab. Return to Fayoum Oasis, then head back to Cairo. On the way, visit the Pyramids of Fayoum, enjoy lunch by the Pyramids, watch the Sound and Light show, and then return to Hurghada.
