We had a lovely time. Thank you!
FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY INFORMATIVE, WELL TRAINED DOGS TO MAKE THE RIDE VERY COMFORTABLE, WE ALL ENJOYED THE TRIP SO MUCH, THANKS!
My kids were visiting from the lower 48, and this was really for them. The staff did an awesome job introducing the dogs, even lettingmmy kids help harness them. Beagle was a big hit as well, as he hitched a ride with us. This was the absolute best experience I could have taken them on, and it was definitely the best activity we did of the trip.
We really enjoyed not just the ride, but Lance's enthusiasm, knowledge, and insight to his dogs and to the lifestyle of mushing and dog-sledding. Could have done this all day long, as could have the dogs. Nice staff and happy dogs!
Wayne and Brooke were so welcoming and knowledgeable. They introduced us to the amazing selection of dogs. Showed us how to harness up the dogs to the sled then what to expect on the wonderful, long ride. Definitely best thing we did in Alaska and recommending to everyone
Ride was awesome! The couple who helped me was very nice and informative!
the location was amazing. such beautiful views and extraordinary terrain. Honestly, I had to overcome some jitters about the roughness of the ride and dogs fighting while running and having to be repositioned. But I realized that this was the reality of dog sledding and I got a true experience of the sport. Wayne was great and I can't believe that he and his wife have only been there since June. I did notice that one of the dogs got harnessed incorrectly by one of the other workers, but it got corrected. My husband and I definitely didn't realize what we were getting ourselves into, but we would do it again now having experienced it.
We had a tremendously great time at the kennel and on the ride. From the start, we felt completely integrated. We got lots of information about the dogs, the kennel, mushers in general and specifically, and and and. For every single question we got a competent answer. We were able to assist in preparing the sleds and the dogs. The sled ride itself was fantastic, thanks to the team and besides that, the gorgeous weather and landscape. And of course, the puppies were sooo sweeeeet! Lance and the team made us feel at home and shared personal thoughts and experiences as well as their love for the dogs with us. Thank you so much for a wonderful adventure and some hours away from civilization.
This tour was super fun. My 16 and 7 year old sons enjoyed it very much. Before the tour you get to interact with the dogs. The harnessing gets a little too crazy because the dogs get so excited to start the tour, but we were right there next to the whole action and saw closely the whole process. After the ride we hang out for bit getting to know more about the dogs. The plus... you get to ride with an Alaskan legend! I highly recommend this tour you will have the ride of your life!
We had a great time but the ride was not 1 1/2 hours. It was more like 50 minutes. My husband got to help set up the dogs and that was fun. If you're not used to Alaska weather...it's cold!
The owner and his family member were very informative and willing to impart experience and knowledge. The handlers were very friendly and also very dog savvy. The kennels are well maintained and it is obvious that the dogs love what they do. I can not speak highly enough about our experience. I would repeat this experience ( and ask for more dogs) if I would have the chance. The Mackeys and their staff are top notch! Thanks for the time of my life.
The ride was great. Wayne was our musher on the ride. The place was a bit out of town, but that just made the country we were sledding through that much more picturesque. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable experience.
Treated like family and was sad to leave. I'll be back again.
We had an amazing experience at the kennel! Wayne was amazing and really gave us a glimpse into this lifestyle. During our visit it was apparent how much these people love and care for these dogs. We were so excited to actually meet Mr. Lance Mackey himself and had the pleasure of seeing some of the awards and trophies he and these dogs won. We watched The Great Alone and I am even now more convinced that Lance is a sled dog inside a human body. :). This will be a cherished memory. I look forward to cheering your team on to victory in 2019! Thank you for sharing your world with us and hugs to Hollywood, Rev, Maple and the rest of the family.
Beautiful setting! Our hosts were friendly & shared their knowledge.
The kennel is located in a picturesque setting and the trail meanders through the foothills outside of Fairbanks. You can see where Lance lives and trains his dogs and take out a sled with a full 16 dog sled team. It is very laid back and informative. I highly recommend the experience for those fans of the Comeback Kennel!
They treated us like family.
How could I NOT be satisfied?? Loved having a chance to be hands on with the dogs. Loved having The Man take me out on the ride. Loved the experience!
Very exciting and very kindly. It's a good place to run and play. Thank you.
Hi, Wayne and his wife were really lovely and passionate about what they do
Everyone was super friendly accommodating. We got there early as the dogs were being fed. We helped attach the dogs to the sled line and helped put them away when we were done. We hung out a bit and took pictures with Lance Mackey; very nice and more then happy to meet us. Thank you. The two of us are thinking of coming back out and helping to hook up some more dogs and visit.

Owner here are warm and kind! all of those dog are active and did a good job！thank you for gave us a memorable journey here！
We have been Lance Mackey fans for YEARS, so being able to really meet him and his family in person, and experience the love he has for his dogs was awesome! It was the high point of our trip, for sure, and we will be back!
We had a wonderful visit with Lance and his wonderful dogs. We interacted with the dogs prior to our sled ride and I even got to help in harnessing one of the dogs. The area that the sled ride covered was just breathtaking and Lance is an extremely interesting person to chat with. Give it a big Aussie thumbs up :)
Everyone went out of their way to educate us and help us have a fantastic time. What's awesome about visiting the kennel is how down-to-earth and caring everyone is. Thanks especially to Jenne for helping us secure a ride and to Lance and the handlers for teaching us about mushing! It was a very enjoyable experience!
Loved the opportunity to interact with the dogs and Lance. What an amazing experience!
