The Local Tour is a two-hour guided snowmobile adventure and is our most sought-after day tour. During the Local Tour, participants will have the opportunity to drive their own snowmobile through the stunning Goldstream Valley and gain insight into the Alaskan lifestyle, including dry cabins, winter travel, and sub-arctic conditions. The valley is a haven for local dog mushers, snowshoers, cross-country skiers, fat bikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. On the Local Tour, participants will navigate through spruce forests, glide over frozen lakes, ponds, creeks, and tundra, and experience the excitement of riding through deep powder!
All necessary gear is provided, including snow boots, snow bibs, mittens, balaclavas, helmets, and goggles. The entire tour lasts 2.5 hours, which includes 30 minutes for gearing up and a brief tutorial on safely operating the snowmobiles, followed by a full 2-hour guided tour in the Goldstream Valley. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to join!
