Our guide and tour was fantastic! DJ was incredibly knowledgeable about plant and animal life in the area. However, I was very disappointed with the organization at the Ivey House. Our tour was scheduled to leave at 730am, but the hotel desk staff did not arrive until 725am to check everyone in and have us sign waivers so we left late. Ivey House also did not check their online orders to know that I had booked or had already paid. So when the guide was preparing the kayaks, he was not properly informed of how many guests would be on the tour nor did he know whether they wanted single of tandem kayaks.
Dylan, our guide was very knowledgeable, pointing out flora and fauna in an informative not preachy manner. We strongly recommend this trip.
Our guide DJ was very professional and he gave us a tour we’ll never forget! We saw dozens of alligators, few turtles and snakes and lots of beautiful birds. We really recommend this kayaking tour. Thanks DJ and all the best for year 2018!
We had a wonderful morning trip throughout the Everglades. Our guide Dillon was very knowledgeable and teached us a lot about this unique landscape and its wildlife. Upon our arrival at the Ivey House, we learned that we were the only participants that day and were introduced to Dillon. He asked us whether we wanted to see anything particular in the Everglades and offered us a few options. We said that we would love to see Mangrove Tunnels, so a large part of our kayak trip turned out to be gliding through such tunnels. Dillon also guided us through some small and large lakes. The Tour was absolutes magnificent, the Mangrove Tunnels were magical. We were even allowed to go into some Tunnels first which was exceptionally great. We even saw one alligator during the trip; as well as a variety of different birds. The trip was definetely the highlight of our visit to the Everglades.
A great, highly enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide.
I read about the tour in the internet and quickly I was sure that i will do this trip. I often used the airboat but the kayak tour was more intensive. I learned a lot about the Everglades and the animals. Thank you Dustin for a very nice trip!
great experience to kayak in the Everglades, Randy is an excellent guide
Our guide was great, everything was prepared, he was friendly, knowledgeable and showed us a wonderful morning kayak. He even showed us all of the edible plants in the everglades! Only downfall was that there were an unbearable amount of mosquitoes and we got eaten alive, even though we were provided with nets for our heads, which were a saving grace. I wouldn't recommend going in the summer during heaving bug season, as they will bite through your clothes if you have sweet blood like me - and we thought we were prepared for them! Make sure you wear loose, heavy clothing that they cannot penetrate. Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience!
Randy did a great job explaining the Everglades ecology and wildlife. We both enjoyed the trip even though the mosquitos were bad. Randy was prepared and gave us head nets to keep them away.
Great day and a great experience!!! I can say I survived the Everglades!!
Our guide, Dylan, was great! He was very personable and very knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife. My two daughters, 16 and 11, had a blast! The mosquito netting hats saved us from what could have been an unpleasant experience. Thanks for a fantastic trip!'
Good guide, varied route, not as much wildlife as I thought at that time of day. Just right length of time/distance for this Sr.! Well organized.
The kanu tour was awesome. We saw a lot of alligators, birds and learned a lot about mangroves and the nature. Dylan was a wonderful guide.
Our Guide Dan was awesome, the nature gorgeous - it was a great, unforgettable experience: Everglades at its very best!
Great knowledgeable guide -- a serene trip -- informative from Beginning to end... respectful of wildlife....
we had fun and it was great experience
Our Guide very friendly and helpful but knowledge-wise he was a little inexperienced(he had been leading the tour only the past 3-4 mos). Our guide the following day at Everglades National Park Boat tour had been doing this for years and was significantly more knowledgeable.
Great guiding by Neal. We thoroughly enjoyed both the location and the service. We'll stay at the location next time!
Our guide Dillon made our trip a learning experience with his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Everglades so many great birds thoroughly enjoyable wonderful time
Everglades adventures provided professional service, good and clean accomondation, a very interesting canoetrip seeing more wild animals than you can imagine. The guide was freindly and very knowledgeable about the animals, the plants and the history of the area. We were a family of 4 with two kids age 11 and 14 and Everglades Adventure was a good experience to all.
Fun trip along the Turner river. Saw incredible wildlife including a dozen or so alligators, many variety of birds, raccoons and more! Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable and stopped to discuss the flora and fauna with us on several occasions. Highly recommended!
Our first trip to the Everglades and my 13 year old son and I wanted to try kayaking in the Everglades. A great experience with a small group and a super guide. We had a super morning and really appreciated the beauty of this area. The trip was perfect for our experience level (beginners but not 1st time) and the guide was informative and went at our pace. Highly recommend this and will be back with more family members in the future.
The Guide explained everything very good and detailed. We saw a lot of aligators, a turtle and lots of birds . .
Nice, relaxing paddle. Randy was knowledgeable and a great guide
This kayak trip was fantastic! We saw so much wildlife, including birds, alligators, and turtles. I was worried about mosquitoes, my husband was worried about a bathroom break. Once we were on the water, there were no problems with bugs and half way through the trip, we stopped at a pitpot, so it was a very easy, comfortable trip. My favorite part was paddling around the cypress trees. Our guide DJ was so knowledgeable.
A great experience with a great guide, Thank you!
What an awesome way to start a day! Our guide, DJ, was knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. It exceeded our expectations!
DJ was an excellent guide, helping to set expectations and what we were going to experience and then his enthusiasm for what we saw gave us a feeling of specialness in the special place.
Our guide DJ, best informed and well organized. Very cool and life impressing tour.
