• Essaouira - We leave early in the morning after breakfast at around 8 a.m. Our journey takes around three hours until our destination. We first visit the old port of Mogador, built by the Portuguese in the eighteenth century. The town of Essaouira is perfectly sheltered by impressive walls and is largely pedestrianized. From the walls of the port of Skala you can see the colorful fishing port below, as well as the fortifications and the Spanish cannons.

Essaouira attracts many visitors annually with its GNAWA music festival in mid-june. If you want to get out of Marrakech and enjoy some cool sea air, Essaouira is an excellent destination. The perfect place to sample some delicious grilled seafood. The excursion to Essaouira is advisable to escape Marrakech and enjoy the cooler air. Essaouira is also famous for its fine handcrafts, especially wooden objects with inlaid ebony, mother-of-pearl, copper and silver. We return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
