Please note that San Jose is quite a distance from the port, which limits the time available for exploration. This excursion includes a tour with a licensed guide, along with a brief shopping and lunch break. However, due to time constraints, extensive shopping or a sit-down meal may not be feasible.

• National Theater of Costa Rica - The 1,140-seat National Theater of Costa Rica is the country’s national theater, located in central San José. Construction began in 1891 and it opened to the public on October 21, 1897, with a performance of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s opera Faust.
• Parque España - Parque España is an urban park located in San José, the capital of Costa Rica. It is a public space situated between 7th and 9th avenues and 9th street, surrounded by several sites of historical and cultural interest in this Central American city, such as the National Culture Center (CENAC), the National Insurance Institute, Casa Amarilla, Edificio Metálico, Paseo de las Damas, and Parque Morazán.
• Parque Nacional Park - This is the National Park of Costa Rica, located in the downtown area of Barrio La Soledad. It is filled with wonderful tropical trees and exotic plants from the country. It is also quite popular among locals, who often come here to eat lunch, read newspapers, and watch their children play.
• Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana) - San José Español: Catedral Metropolitana is a cathedral in San José, Costa Rica, located on Central Street and Avenues 2 and 4. The original cathedral was built in 1802 but was destroyed by an earthquake.
• Jade Museum - The Jade Museum is an archaeological museum in San José, Costa Rica. Since 2014, it has been located in front of the Plaza de la Democracia. It was founded in 1977 by Fidel Tristán Castro, the first president of the INS. The museum holds the largest collection of American jade in the world.
• National Theater of Costa Rica - After the guided tour, enjoy 1 hour of free time. Your guide will drop you off at a convenient location, allowing you to savor lunch and indulge in some shopping.
